  • On Monday, May 13, 2013 at approximately 1:30 PM, an officer was dispatched to Nord Elementary School for a student found with marijuana on his person. A male juvenile, age 12 of Amherst, was cited for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

  • On Tuesday, May 14, 2013 there were several reports of vehicles entered and belongings stolen overnight. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and secure their valuables.

 

  • On Friday, May 17, 2013 at 04:10 PM, an officer was dispatched to Cooper Foster Park Road in regards to a barking dog complaint. Sue Jackson, age 55 of Amherst, was cited for Barking/Howling Dogs.

 

  • On Saturday, May 18, 2012, at 01:47 AM, an officer observed a vehicle being operated with an expired registration. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. Gabriel Sniezek, age 22 of Lorain, was charged with Expired Plates, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia.

 

  • On Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10:50 AM, officers were dispatched to the area of State Route 2 westbound west of State Route 58 for a possible intoxicated driver. It was learned the vehicle in question exited at the Oak Point Road exit. The officer located the vehicle, stopped in the middle of the exit ramp, not turning right or left. An investigation was conducted and Erin Taylor, age 26 of Berea, was charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated and Stopping in Traffic.

 

  • On Saturday, May 18, 2013, an officer was dispatched to Woodhaven Drive for a report of a male going door to door, asking about resident’s gas service. An investigation was conducted and Michael Massaad, age 20 of Westlake, was cited for soliciting without a permit.
