On Sunday, September 27, 2009, at approximately 2:10am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, overheard and observed an altercation on Church Street just south of RC's Brewhouse between two males. As the officer approached the two, one of the males assaulted the other male involved. The suspect, D’Mari Campbell, age 23 of South Amherst, had to be separated and tased. Mr. Campbell was arrested for Assault, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Sunday, September 27, 2009, at approximately 7:56pm, officers were dispatched to KFC on North Leavitt Road in reference to several people in the parking lot smoking marijuana. Upon arrival, several people were found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ian Tomovich, age 20 of Lorain, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. A 17 year old male and 16 year old female, both of Amherst, were also issued citations for Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Tobacco Products. | |

On Friday, October 2, 2009, at approximately 12:00am, an officer, while on patrol, observed a male riding a bicycle eastbound on Milan Avenue. The male was weaving within the eastbound lane of travel from the curb towards the center of the road and back towards the curb. The officer also observed that the bicycle did not have any lights visible to the front or rear as required by law. At that time, the officer conducted a stop on the bicyclist and conducted an investigation. James Jenson, age 37 of Bay Village, was arrested taken into custody on an outstanding bench warrant. Mr. Jenson was also charged with Lighted Lights on Bicycle, Reckless Operation (Weaving) on a Bicycle, and Disorderly Conduct; Intoxication. | |

On Friday, October 2, 2009, at approximately 5:02am, officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Leavitt Road and Cleveland Avenue in reference to a male passed out at the driver's wheel with the vehicle was running. Upon arrival, the male, Adrian Neely, age 32 of Lorain, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of drugs. Mr. Neely was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Possession Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Open Container, and Impeding Flow of Traffic. | |

On Friday, October 2, 2009, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint. The complainant stated her 17 year old daughter was at Motel 6 without permission with a 19 year old male. The juvenile female was located at the motel and taken into custody. She was returned to her mother at the Amherst Police Department and charged with Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Friday, October 2, 2009, at approximately 10:30pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference an assault complaint that took place at the Amherst High School during the football game. An investigation was conducted and two 14 year old females were charged with Assault and Complicity to Assault. | |

On Saturday, October 3, 2009, at approximately 3:04am, an officer, while on patrol on Cooper Foster Park Road near North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle weaving within its lane of travel and cross over the solid double yellow line twice. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver James Davis, age 26 of University Ohio, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC Over .08%, Open Container, Driving Marked Lanes, and Weaving Course. |
