On Monday, September 25, 2006, at approximately 7:30 am, an officer was dispatched to South Main Street in reference to a theft from an automobile. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised that sometime during the night, her husband’s car was entered and several items were taken. The incident is currently under investigation. | |

On Monday, September 25, 2006, at approximately 6:45 PM, an officer was dispatched to Spruce Tree Lane for an attempted burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the homeowners and an investigation was conducted. The detective bureau was called to the scene and the matter is under investigation. On Thursday, September 28, 2006, the suspect, Joe Crisp, age 28 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property and Forgery. | |

On Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at approximately 6:02 pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a menacing/domestic dispute complaint. An investigation was conducted and the officer later spoke to the male advising him to refrain from any contact with the female complainant. The female did not wish to pursue charges at this time. | |

On Friday, September 29, 2006, at 7:41 pm, officers were on foot patrol at the Amherst Steele High School football game. While on patrol, a 14 year old male approached and began a conversation with the officers. The juvenile had a very strong odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from on or about his person and his eyes were glassy in appearance. After a further investigation was completed, the juvenile was cited for Underage Consumption and turned over to the custody of his mother at the scene. | |

On Friday, September 29, 2006, at 8:40 pm, officers were on foot patrol at the Amherst Steele High School football game. While on patrol, two males walked in through the main gate, one being very unsteady on his feet and stumbling while walking. It also appeared that his eyes were glassy and bloodshot in appearance and there was a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from on or about his person. After a further investigation was completed, the male, Jeffrey Mudrak, age 18 of Lorain, was cited for Underage Consumption and released to a friend at the scene. | |

On Friday, September 29, 2006, at approximately 9:53 pm, an officer working at the Amherst High School football game observed a group of approximately five students near the bleachers at the east end of the stands. One of the students was observed to be holding a cigar. After talking with the student, it was determined that he had been in possession of tobacco as well as exhibited signs that he had consumed intoxicating beverage. The juvenile was issued a citation for Underage Consumption of Alcohol and Prohibitions relating to Possession of Tobacco Products. His mother was contacted and requested to respond to the scene to take custody of him. | |

On Saturday, September 30, 2006, at 3:20 pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Orchard Glen Drive in reference a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and it was determined that Christopher Howard, age 36 of Amherst, and his ex-girlfriend were involved in an altercation. The female sustained visible injuries during the altercation and wished to file charges against the male. Mr. Howard was arrested and charged with Assault. |
