On Thursday, September 27, 2007, at 12:39am, an officer, while on patrol in the parking lot of Motel 6, ran a random registration check on a vehicle parked in the east parking lot.  After checking through LEADS, it was learned the listed owner of the vehicle, Andrew Girard, age 29 of Lorain, had an active entered warrant out of North Olmsted Police Department. The officer located the owner in one of the motel rooms and an investigation was conducted.  Mr. Girard was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and taken into custody on the warrant.

On Thursday, September 27, 2007, at 10:24pm, officers were dispatched to the parking lot behind Olde Town Pizza, Lincoln Street, in reference to a group of suspicious people standing near a vehicle.  Upon arrival, officers approached two males and two females and detected an odor of burnt marijuana.  An investigation was conducted and one of the males, Christopher Wren, age 27 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday, September 28, 2007, at 23:37pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Milan Avenue in reference to an assault complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who stated her boyfriend, Brandon Nelson, age 19 of Amherst, had choked her and refused to leave her residence.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Nelson was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence.

On Friday, September 28, 2007, at 23:24pm, an officer, while on patrol near the Speedway parking lot, North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle travel through the red traffic signal with no attempt to stop when the light turned red.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Kurt Foley, age 43 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Red Light, and State Refusal.

On Saturday, September 29, 2007, at approximately 12:10am, an officer, while on patrol near North Ridge Road and North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its westbound lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Philip Tucker, age 26 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving and Brake Light.
