On Sunday, September 17, 2006, at approximately 3:00am, officers were dispatched to North Lake Street in reference to a complaint of a male making noises outside of the residence.  The caller described the male as being younger, with blonde hair, wearing shorts and a red and blue shirt. Upon arrival into the area, the above described male, later identified as Andrew Whited, age 18 of Amherst, fled from officers on foot.  Mr. Whited was later apprehended and charged with Burglary, Obstructing Official Business, Underage Consumption and Disturbing the Peace.

On Monday, September 18, 2006, at approximately 7:30pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department to speak to a female in reference to misuse of a credit card. After an investigation, it was determined that the female paid a bill over the telephone using her credit card.  The credit card number was later used to wire transfer money to Louisiana. The complainant was referred to CenturyTel due to the offense occurring across state lines.

On Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at approximately 4:26pm, an officer was dispatched to North Main Street regarding found property. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who stated he located a computer monitor in his front yard.  The monitor, described as a Packard Bell computer monitor with two speakers attached, was entered into evidence for safekeeping.

On Friday, September 22, 2006, at approximately 6:00pm, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle for a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with store security who advised that he observed a Hispanic male, later identified as Kalian Santiago, age 24 of Lorain, take two packs of Marlboro Green from the store shelf and place them in his coat pocket.  Santiago then left the store and was stopped by security in the parking lot. After an investigation, Santiago was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Saturday, September 23, 2006, at approximately 3:55pm, officers were dispatched to Royal Drive in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the female homeowner who advised her husband was yelling at her about monetary problems.  She advised she got scared during the argument and dialed 911. The husband left the residence in his vehicle. The female was advised to contact the Amherst Police Department if there where any further questions or if they had any further problems.  The female stated she was not in fear of her husband.

On Saturday, September 23, 2006, at approximately 4:45pm, officers were dispatched to Don Tequila Restaurant for two intoxicated customers giving employees a hard time by yelling and screaming.  Upon arrival, officers were advised by staff that the female subject, later identified as Katherine Henderson, age 22 of Akron, was in the restroom, passed out on the floor from drinking too much alcohol.  After completing an investigation, Ms. Henderson was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Resisting Arrest.  The male subject, Jeff Stout, age 33 of Sheffield, was cited for Driving Under Suspension and Disorderly Conduct.

On Sunday, September 24, 2006, at approximately 12:11am, an officer responded to Anthony Drive in regards to a dog biting another dog while being walked on a leash on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that she was walking her dog on the sidewalk when a dog ran out from an open garage and attacked her poodle.  Officers spoke to both parties involved and a report was left.

On Sunday, September 24, 2006 at approximately 2:15pm, an officer was dispatched to Greenlawn Dr. for a possible burglary. Upon arrival, the officer met with the homeowner who stated her house was entered while she was out.  An investigation was completed and it is believed that the intruder was in the house when the homeowner arrived home. The intruder jumped out the bedroom window and was not located.                                                   On Thursday, September 28, 2006, the suspect, Joe Crisp, age 28 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property and Forgery.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2006, at 6:09pm, officers were dispatched to Kiedrowski's Bakery in reference to a male passed out on a bench.  Upon arrival, an investigation followed and the male, Michael DeMarco, age 50 of Lorain, was arrested for Criminal Damage, Public Indecency, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Open Container, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2006, at 8:55 pm, officers were dispatched to Spruce Tree Lane in regards to a house that had been entered by an unknown person(s).  Upon arrival, an investigation was initiated and it was determined entry was made into the home.  Several credit cards, a check book and a purse were taken.               On Thursday, September 28, 2006, the suspect, Joe Crisp, age 28 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Receiving Stolen Property and Forgery.
