On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 12:13am, an officer was patrolling the area of Axtel Street when he observed a male who appeared to be under the age of 18.  The officer made contact with the juvenile and an investigation was conducted.  He was issued a citation for Curfew and released to his mother.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2007, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the female shoplifter, Blossom Morgan, age 33 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Thursday September 20, 2007, at approximately 3:30pm, an officer observed two juveniles, one female and the other male, at the corner of Park Avenue and Forest Street.  The officer observed the juvenile female with one cigarette hanging from her mouth and stopped to talk to her.  While talking to the female, the male juvenile handed the officer the rest of the pack of cigarettes that he had with him.  Both juveniles were cited for Possession of Tobacco Products.

On Thursday, September 20, 2007, at approximately 5:13pm, an officer was dispatched to Hastee Tastee, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised someone stole her purse while parked in the parking lot.  A report was taken and an investigation is pending.

On Thursday, September 20, 2007, at approximately 11:26pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of North Ridge Road and Lynn Road in reference to a neighbor who heard squealing tires and a loud crashing sound.  Upon arrival, the officer observed a vehicle with a telephone pole resting on its hood.  An investigation was conducted and the driver was taken to the hospital by LifeCare.  The driver, David Higginbotham, age 46 of Lorain, was later arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170, Criminal Damaging, Alteration of Traffic Control Device, Reckless Operation, and Marked Lanes.

On Friday, September 21, 2007, at approximately 7:37pm, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officers met with store security who advised a shoplifter was in custody.  An investigation was conducted and the female, Jennifer Carter, age 26 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Theft, Criminal Tools and Illegal Use of Food Stamps.

On Saturday, September, 22, 2007, an officer while on patrol near Giant Eagle, observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by a male in the parking lot.  An investigation was conducted and the occupant, Nelson Gonzalez, age 48 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Drug Abuse Instrument, and Open Container Motor Vehicle.

On Saturday, September, 22, 2007, officers were dispatched to a residence on Greenlawn Drive in reference to an irate juvenile with a knife.   Upon arrival, contact was made with the 17 year old male and his parents.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Aggravated Menacing.
