On Sunday, October 8, 2006, at approximately 1:00am, officers were dispatched to R.C.'s Brewhouse, Church Street, in reference to an assault complaint. According to information given, a female was assaulted by another female, later identified as Rebecca Monschein, age 36 of Elyria, and then fled the area on foot before officers arrived. The victim requested charges against Ms. Monschein. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Saturday, October 14, 2006, Rebecca Monschein turned herself in at the Amherst Police Department and was formally charged with Assault. | |

On Sunday, October 8, 2006, at approximately 5:38am, officers responded to Days Inn, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a complaint of excessive noise and foot traffic coming from one of the rooms. While approaching the room in question, a male, Javar Goodwin, age 18 of Lorain, exited the room with a female and entered a vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and spoke to Mr. Goodwin. After investigating the situation, Mr. Goodwin was charged with Underage Consumption and released at the scene. | |

On Sunday, October 8, 2006 at approximately 1:54pm an officer was dispatched to North Woodhill Drive in reference to a report of an abandoned bike. The homeowner advised she discovered the bike lying in her backyard. The bike is a green (teal) and black 15 speed Roadmaster Furry Mountain bike with a silver combination bike lock secured around the frame near the seat and appears to be in fair condition. The bike was taken to the city storage facility. | |

On Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at approximately 12:37am, an officer stopped a vehicle for weaving on Cleveland Avenue, near Central Drive. After an investigation was conducted, the vehicle operator, Matthew Hamm, age 28 of Amherst, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State O.V.I. Refusal and Weaving. | |

On Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at 12:48pm, an officer was dispatched to North Ridge Road, in reference to a trespassing complaint. The officer met with the complainant, who advised that every year Tuffy Muffler scrapes the paint from their building and blows the paint chips onto his property. He stated he has told them in the past to keep his property clean and that he does not want them on his property. The officer also spoke to the owner and operator of Tuffy and advised him of the complaint. He stated he would comply and he does not want the complainant on his property as well. A report was made for file. | |

On Thursday, October 12, 2006, at 8:25am, an officer responded to Nord Middle School, Lincoln Street, in reference to a male who failed to follow school policy when entering the school. According to the principal, a stepfather, who had issues about the treatment of his stepdaughter, entered the school and confronted her teacher in her classroom while she was alone. To prevent any further issues, the principal prepared a letter to the stepfather, instructing him to remain off of school property for 30 days and informing him of guidelines to follow thereafter. Officers delivered the letter to the male and advised him if he fails to follow the instructions in the letter, he would be subject to arrest. | |

On Thursday, October 12, 2006, at 1015am, officers responded to Jackson Street in reference to a female that was being held at the residence against her will. The caller was the female’s boyfriend. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the female subject about the situation. The female stated she has been having problems with her boyfriend and she does not want to see him until he receives help. She further stated she was not being held at the residence against her will. The female’s parents advised the officers of several past incidents with the boyfriend and of the ongoing problems they are having with him. They request an officer advise him that he is not permitted on their property. | |

On Thursday, October 12, 2006, at 11:48am, an officer was dispatched to the Rite Aid, South Leavitt Road, in reference to a vehicle that had struck the building. Upon arrival, the officer observed a Ford Taurus had struck the north side of the building and had gone inside the store approximately six feet. The driver of the vehicle stated she applied pressure to the accelerator instead of the brake pedal resulting in her striking the building. The building incurred minor structural damage. Amherst Fire Chief was called to the scene to determine if the building was safe to be occupied. | |

On Thursday, October 12, 2006, at approximately 10:08pm, officers were dispatched to Westchester Drive in reference to a report of an underage drinking party. An anonymous caller advised that there was a lot of noise coming from the residence. Upon arrival, officers observed the residence to be quiet. Contact was made with a juvenile female at the residence. It was later determined the juvenile had consumed alcohol. The female was cited for Prohibition; Underage Consumption of Alcohol and released to a neighbor. | |

On Friday, October 13, 2006, at 4:26pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Cleveland Avenue and State Route 58 in reference a dispute between a female and a male. Upon arrival, an officer located a male walking away from a vehicle occupied by a female in a parking on Cleveland Avenue. The male stated he was having a verbal argument with his girlfriend over another female. He stated she began yelling at him so he got out of the vehicle and began walking away from her to avoid further problems. An officer spoke to the female, who advised the same. Both parties advised they were fine to drive in the same vehicle together without any further incidents. Neither party had any marks, or other evidence which would have indicated anything other than an argument had taken place. | |

On Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 5:46pm, officers were dispatched to Cooper Foster Park Road in reference an intoxicated male stumbling in the street. Upon arrival, an investigation followed and the male was found to be highly intoxicated. Michael Demarco, age 50 of Lorain, was cited for Disorderly Conduct - Intoxication and Walking On Streets Intoxicated. |
