On Sunday, October 25, 2009, at approximately 1:20am, an officer, while on patrol downtown near RC's Brewhouse, heard what sounded like a physical fight in the rear of the business inside the fenced area.  A large crowd formed that quickly became aggressive.  Four males were taken into custody and an investigation was conducted.   Michael Stutler, age 42 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.   Matthew Brown, age 19 of North Ridgeville, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct Persisting.  Kyle Bromley, age 21 of Oberlin, was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Official Business, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.  Johnny Reyes, age 30 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Obstructing Official Business, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Thursday, October 29, 2009, at 9:27pm, officers working a special detail at the Amherst Steele High School football game were advised of a fight near the home concession stand.  Officers located a 15 year old male involved in the fight and detained him while conducting an investigation.  The other male involved was lying on the ground bleeding profusely from his nose and mouth area and moaning in pain.  An ambulance was called to the scene.  After the investigation, the 15 year old male was arrested and charged with Felonious Assault.  The injured male was later transported to Cleveland Metro Hospital for treatment.

On Friday, October 30, 2009, at approximately 1:55am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Park Avenue in reference to a male attempting to break into a vehicle that was occupied by two females.  Upon arrival into area, officers observed a male subject running through the yards on Hume Hill.  The male, Daniel Burton, age 20 of Wellington, was eventually located and taken into custody.  Mr. Burton was arrested and charged with Walking on Highway Intoxicated, Disturbing the Peace, Criminal Trespass, Obstructing Official Business, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.  Burton also had an active warrant out of the Wellington Police Department for Vandalism.

On Saturday, October 31, 2009, at approximately 2:51am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Spring Street in reference to an intoxicated Amish male attempting to gain entry to his residence through the back door.  Upon arrival, officers located the intoxicated male and conducted an investigation.  Jason Opalenik, age 31 of Birmingham, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Disturbing the Peace.
