On Sunday, November 8, 2009, at approximately 12:03am, officers were dispatched to the area of Hot Dog Heaven, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to a disturbance.  The caller stated she could hear yelling which sounded as though there was a fight taking place and that it sounded as though vehicles were leaving the area.  Upon arrival, the officers located and stopped the vehicles involved.  An investigation was conducted and Candra Gunton, age 18 of Sheffield Lake, Yvette S. Thomas, age 19 of Lorain, and Essence J. Craighead, age 18 of Elyria, were cited for Disorderly Conduct.  Craighead was also cited for Criminal Damaging.

On November 8, 2009, at approximately 5:02am, officers were dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in reference a vehicle being repossessed.  The caller stated the vehicle owner was threatening physical harm and was acting in an aggressive manner due to his vehicle being removed from his driveway.  Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and the vehicle owner, Christian Cerlan, age 36 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 2:28am, an officer, while on patrol on Cleveland Avenue, observed a vehicle travel onto the center double yellow line and then travel left of center and into the middle of the roadway while negotiating a turn onto Washington Avenue.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Alexander Cieslak, age 22 of Sheffield Lake, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Expired Plates, and Driving in Marked Lanes.

On Friday, November 13, 2009, at 2:47am, an officer, while on patrol at Beaver Court and South Main Street, observed a vehicle negotiate a turn without utilizing the vehicle's turn signal and roll through the intersection without making a complete stop.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Jeanette Klucer, age 29 of North Ridgeville , was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Signals Before Changing Course, Red Light, Possession of Drugs 1 count, and Possession of Drugs 4 counts.

On Saturday, November 14, 2009, at approximately 2:14am, an officer was dispatched to the area of North Leavitt Road and Spruce Tree Lane in reference a hit skip accident complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainants who stated they knew the operator of the suspect vehicle and that he purposely ran into their vehicle.  An investigation was conducted and the suspect, Taylor Kopp, age 20 of Avon Lake, was later arrested and charged with Felonious Assault 5 counts, Operating Vehicle Underage Consumption, Underage Consumption, and Criminal Damage.

On Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 2:19am, an officer, while on patrol on Church Street and Tenney Avenue, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to stop at the posted stop sign, was weaving into the oncoming traffic lane and struck a curb and drove into the tree lawn.  The vehicle was stopped and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Andrew Wilhelm, age 25 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, two counts of Stop Sign, Weaving, Signals Before Changing Course, and Failure to Control .

On November 14, 2009, at approximately 3:56pm, an officer was dispatched to Target, Oak Point Road, regarding a suspicious male. Target's Loss Prevention Officer advised the male was involved in an incident that took place the week before where a GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle.  The officer conducted an investigation and the male, Josue Rodriguez, age 28 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, Driving Under Suspension, Expired License Plates, two counts of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments, and Fictitious Plates.
