On Sunday, November 22, 2009, at approximately 2:23am, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Woodhill Drive in reference to a domestic violence complaint.  Upon arrival, the officers spoke to both parties and conducted an investigation.  The male, Bart Hobart, age 50 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and Disrupting Public Service.  

On Sunday, November 22, 2009, at approximately 3:15am, officers responded to a residence on Church Street in regards to a fight between husband and wife.  Upon arrival, the officers spoke to both parties and conducted an investigation.  Jason Cyran, age 40, and Carla Cyran, age 43, were arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. 

On Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 2:11am, an officer, while on patrol on Cleveland Avenue, observed a vehicle traveling at a slow speed and veering towards the curb and straddling it.  A traffic stop was initiated and the drive, Melissa Francis, age 23 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Weaving, and Slow Speeds. 

On Thursday, November 26, 2009, at 1:39am, officers, while on patrol at the corner of Church Street and Park Avenue, was flagged down regarding a fight that was occurring in the middle of the street.  The officers separated the males and conducted an investigation.  Brian Malinowski, age 19 of Amhers, was cited for Underage Consumption and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.   Scott Karohl, age 36 of Amherst, Alexander Liszak, age 21 of Amherst, and Michael Muriello, age 25 of Lorain, were all cited for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Thursday, November 26, 2009, at 1:50am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, was approached by a female requesting the officer to provide assistance for an out of control male that was involved in a fight.  The officer located the male, Adam Henderson, age 25 of Westerville, Oh, and conducted an investigation.  It was learned that Mr. Henderson had assaulted a female and she requested assault charges to be filed.  Mr. Henderson was arrested and charged with Assault. 

On Thursday, November 26, 2009, at 2:55am, an officer, while on patrol at Milan Avenue and South Lake Street, observed a vehicle travel through a red light at a high rate of speed.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Khashayar Zaree, age 23 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Red Light. 

On Thursday, November 26, 2009, at approximately 3:55am, officers were dispatched to Denny's Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a male in a black SUV passed out behind the wheel.  Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle parked with its engine running and a male, Gregory Hardwick, age 38 of Amherst, seated behind the wheel.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Hardwick was arrested for Physical Control of a Motor Vehicle. 

On Friday, November 27, 2009, at approximately 5:03am, officers responded to the area of Cooper Foster Park Road and Sandstone Blvd in reference to a male advising that his vehicle had been struck by an unknown object.  Upon investigating the scene and meeting with the male, it was determined that a one vehicle auto accident had occurred.  The driver, Justin Taylor, age 20 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Failure to Control, Underage Consumption and BAC over .08. 

On Saturday, November 28, 2009, at approximately 2:35am, officers responded to Taco Ball, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a female advising that another vehicle had just backed into her vehicle in the drive thru line.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke with both drivers involved and conducted an investigation.   The driver at fault, Jessica Potts, age 20 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Improper Backing, Underage Consumption and BAC over .08.
