On Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at approximately 2:12am, an officer, while on patrol on North Ridge Road, observed a vehicle travel over the double yellow line. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver Nicholas Kennedy, age of 33 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Expired License, Driving in Marked Lanes, and Rear Lights. | |

On Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 1:50am, an officer, while on patrol on Tenney Avenue and Church Street, noticed a female squatting in an open parking space urinating on the pavement. The officer approached the female and an investigation was conducted. The female, Ashley Mitchell, age 19 of Amherst, was issued a citation Underage Consumption, Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication, and Public Indecency. | |

On Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 2:42am, an officer, while on a traffic stop in front of City Hall on South Main Street, observed a male juvenile riding a bicycle northbound on the east side of South Main Street. Upon conclusion of the traffic stop, the officer located the juvenile and issued him a citation for Curfew. | |

On Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at approximately 6:27pm, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of 157 Jefferson Street in reference to a suspicious person’s complaint. According to the caller, a man was sitting in a vehicle which was parked in the back of the parking lot for approximately an hour and was acting suspicious. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the male, William Rusin, age 51 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Open Container in a Motor Vehicle and Public Indecency. | |

On Thursday, November 22, 2007, at 1:09am, an officer, while on patrol in the rear parking lot of the Quarry Café, 161 Park Avenue, noticed a male duck down behind the back bumper of a vehicle as if attempting to hide. The officer approached the male, identified as Brian Wormwood, age 29 of Elyria, and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Wormwood was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication. | |

On Friday, November 23, 2007, at approximately 3:20pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a telephone harassment complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised she is being harassed and threatened by her ex boyfriend. She advised he also shows up at her house and watches her house from a nearby location. An investigation was conducted and the male, Jeffrey Champion, age 40 of Wakeman, was later arrested for Telephone Harassment, Aggravated Menacing, and Menacing by Stalking. | |

On Saturday, November 24, 2007, at approximately 2:02am, an officer, while on patrol near Shady Drive and East Martin Avenue, performed a random registration check on a vehicle registration which showed the owner of the vehicle having an expired Ohio Operator's License. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Joshua Nahm, age 24 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with No Ohio Operators License, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, and BAC over .170%. | |

On Saturday, November 24, 2007, at approximately 3:45am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Van Oaks Drive in reference to a male running through the yard and causing a noise disturbance. Upon arrival, the area was checked and the male, Steven Chonko, age 20 of Vermilion, was located and cited for Underage Consumption and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Saturday, November 24, 2007, at approximately 2:19pm, officers were dispatched to McDonalds Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a motor vehicle accident where a pedestrian was struck. Upon arrival, it was learned that the pedestrian, James Gailey, age 50 of Amherst, had a screwdriver in his hand, and appeared to have been trying to break into the car. The operator of the car put the car in reverse and struck the male. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Gailey was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct. |
