On Monday, May 17, 2010, at approximately 9:25pm, an officer, while on patrol, observed a male walking towards the rear of Dairy Mart. The officer continued to watch the male and observed him expose his penis and start urinating on the side of the dumpster. An investigation was conducted and the male, Frank Justice, age 30 of Elyria, arrested and charged with Public Indecency, Driving under Suspension, Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Friday, May 21, 2010, at approximately 12:47am, an officer, while on patrol on South Main Street and Tenney Avenue, observed a vehicle with only one front headlight illuminated, with the muffler excessively loud, and a very large crack in the front windshield. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Gloria Ballesteros, age 21 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Paraphernalia, Unsafe Vehicle, and Head Lights required. The passenger, Juan Diaz, age 28 of Lorain, was also arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and TPO Violation. | |

On Friday, May 21, 2010, at 3:39am, an officer was dispatched to Terra Lane at the Route 2 overpass in reference to a vehicle on fire in the roadway. While en route to the scene, dispatch advised a male, Christopher Bodnar, age 21 of Amherst, called to report his vehicle stolen. Upon arrival, the officer located a vehicle matching Mr. Bodnar’s fully engulfed in flames. After being on scene for several minutes, a resident from the area advised officers that he witnessed Mr. Bodnar's vehicle driving up and down the street moments before the fire and another resident who stated he gave the male who was driving the Jeep a ride home to his residence. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Bodnar was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated and BAC over .170%. | |

On Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 2:19am, an officer, while on patrol downtown at the intersection of Church Street and Park Avenue, observed a vehicle exit a parking space and drive without the vehicle's headlights illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Thomas Godlewski, age 50 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Display of Plates, and Lighted. |
