On Sunday, May 3, 2009, at approximately 05:25am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Birch Lane in reference to a loud party and a group of young guys fighting in the front yard. Upon arrival, officers heard a lot of yelling coming from inside the garage. An investigation was conducted and Jacob Harris, age 19 of Kipton, was arrested and charged with Underage Consumption and Possession of Alcohol. | |

On Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 12:56am, an officer was dispatched to the area of Lincoln Street and Brandt Avenue in reference to a four wheeler being operated recklessly by a young male. Upon arrival, the officer observed an ATV, driven by a young male, turn into a yard turning westbound onto Brandt Ave. The ATV then entered a yard on Brandt Avenue. The officer made contact with the operator and an investigation was conducted. The 15 year old male was issued a citation for Improper Operation of an ATV. | |

On Tuesday, May 5, 2009, officers were dispatched to Ron’s Barber Shop, Park Avenue, in reference to a stalking and trespass complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to witnesses and the victim who stated a male entered the business and confronted the business owner. The male, later identified at Paul Passanisi, age 46 of Amherst, also continually follows the victim and passes by the victim's place of business and they are now fearful of the suspect due to his demeanor and actions. Mr. Passanisi had been advised by Amherst Police officers to have no contact with the victim on two prior occasions. Mr. Passanisi was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Menacing by Stalking. | |

On Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at approximately 9:21pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department lobby in regards to a juvenile assault complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the juvenile and his parents who advised that the 15 year old male was assaulted by another 15 year old male on the side of Amherst Cinema, Church Street. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile suspect was charged with Assault. | |

On Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 5:12am, an officer was dispatched State Route 2 in regards to a possible drunk driver. Upon entering the area, the officer observed the suspect vehicle, weaving within its lanes of travel. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver, Sharla Schrenkel, age 36 of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 12:56am, an officer, while on patrol on North Main Street near Cooper Foster Park Road, observed travel over the white edge line and off of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled left of center over the double yellow line. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Kimberly Laurio, age 39 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Seat Belt, Weaving, and Driving in Marked Lanes. | |

On Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 2:29am, an officer, while on patrol on Park Avenue and Jackson Street, observed a vehicle make a very wide turn, weave within it's lane of travel and almost strike the curb several times. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver, John Gaal, age 26 of Sheffield Lake, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Driving in Marked Lanes. |
