On Sunday, May 24, 2009, at approximately 2:21am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle sitting under the rail road bridge on South Main Street and Tenney Avenue with a male looking at the right front tire of the vehicle that appeared to be flat. The officer stopped to check on the male’s welfare and conducted an investigation. The driver, Peter Brumenschenkel, age 23 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, BAC over .170%, and Reckless Operation. | |

On Monday, May 25, 2009, at approximately 11:01pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Cooper Foster Park Road and State Route 58 in reference to a male stopping customers in the parking lot and asking for money. Upon arrival, the male was located and an investigation followed. The male, Ricky Carter, age 47 of Columbus, was found to be in possession of drugs. He was arrested and charged with Possession Crack, Drug Abuse Instrument, and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Monday, May 25, 2009, officers were dispatched to a residence on South Leavitt Road in regards to an unwanted ex-boyfriend walking around the house. Upon arrival, the male, Andre Calhoun, age 21 of Lorain, was located and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Calhoun was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxicated, Criminal Trespass, and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Thursday, May 28, 2009, at approximately 2:26am, an officer, while on patrol near Speedway observed a male, Stanley Collins, age 48 of Lorain, committing several violations while riding his bicycle in the parking lot. Mr. Collins was also violating the terms of his probation by being at the Speedway store. Collins was cited for Criminal Trespass, Open Container, and Lights on Bicycles. | |

On Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 1:30am, an officer, while on patrol on downtown, observed a vehicle come to a stop in the middle of intersection at Park Avenue and South Main Street. The officer flashed his brights to signal the driver to go. The driver paused for a couple of seconds and started driving again. The officer then observed the vehicle weaving within it's lane of travel and at one point, swerve and almost strike the curb. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver, Terry Marcum, age 58 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, May 30, 2009, at approximately 2:08am, an officer, while on patrol on downtown, observed a male standing in the middle of Park Avenue with an open glass bottle of Budweiser Beer in his hand. The male Kobra King, age 29 of Amherst, was cited for Open Container. |
