On Sunday, May 23, 2010, at approximately 5:09am, an officer, while on patrol on Cooper Foster in the area of Sharondale, observed two males walking on the sidewalk who appeared to be juveniles. The officer made contact with the males and conducted an investigation. Both males, age 15 and 17, were cited for Curfew and released to their parents at the Amherst Police station. | |

On Monday, May 24, 2010, at 8:00pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Woodhill Drive in regards to a domestic violence complaint. Upon arrival, officers met with both parties and learned Michael Prieto, age 48 of Amherst, struck his wife. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Prieto was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. | |

On Monday, May 24, 2010, at 11:04pm, an officer, while on patrol in the Denny's parking lot, North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle operating with a faulty exhaust that was producing excessive noise. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, John Algarin, age 41 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Expired Plates, and Faulty Exhaust. | |

On Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at 8:50pm, an officer, while on patrol downtown, was advised by a citizen that a male was stumbling around his vehicle for an hour and was now is in the driver's seat. The officer located the vehicle pulling out of a parking space and travel westbound on Park Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver Lawrence Cyan, age 53 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Bac over .170%, and Left of Center. | |

On Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 12:01am, an officer, while on patrol in the parking lot of Bob Evans restaurant, observed a vehicle operating without the headlights activated. A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Ryan Zaleha, age 18 of Vermilion, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and Lighted Lights. Three female occupants, ages 14 and 15, were cited for Curfew and released to their parents. A 16 year old male was cited for Curfew and Underage Consumption and also released to his parent. | |

On Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 11:13pm, an officer, while on patrol on North Main Street near West Martin, observed a male, Anthony Moreno, age 21 of Amherst, standing in a driveway. The officer, who was aware that Mr. Moreno had an outstanding warrant, made contact with Moreno and took him into custody. Mr. Moreno was also issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Saturday, May, 29, 2010, at approximately 4:21am, an officer, while on patroI, observed a male attempting to hide behind a tree in the front yard of a residence on Middle Ridge Road. The officer made contact with the male, Matthew Clow, age 21 of Amherst, and conducted an investigation. Mr. Clow was cited for Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Saturday, May 29, 2010, at approximately 11:50pm, an officer, while on patrol, observed a vehicle parked at Shupe Elementary School, Shupe Avenue, at the far south end of the parking lot with its lights off and several people walking around outside of the vehicle. The officer made contact with the males and conducted an investigation. One of the males, Anthony Zampieri, age 18 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia. |
