On Monday, May 21, 2007 at approximately 5:55pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Forest Street in reference to an unruly juvenile who was screaming.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the juvenile was taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Disturbing the Peace, and Unruly Juvenile.  She was later released to her mother.  At approximately 7:09pm, officers were dispatched again due to the unruly juvenile breaking the front door by slamming it shut as she walked out of the residence.  The mother advised that the juvenile refused to listen to her and walked away from the residence against her mother's order.  The juvenile was again taken into custody.  The detention home refused acceptance of the female and she was again released to her mother with additional charges of Unruly Juvenile and Criminal Damaging.

On Monday, May 21, 2007, at approximately 7:15pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of Angelo's Pizza, Church Street, in reference to a person attempting to break into a vehicle.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who stated the suspect just fled westbound on Tenney Avenue.  The officer located a male matching the description given and an investigation was conducted.  The juvenile male was arrested and charged with Attempted Vehicle Trespass.  He was later released to his father.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at 12:26am, officers were dispatched to the Big Eaze, Park Avenue, in reference to an intoxicated male causing a disturbance inside of the bar.  Upon arrival, the bar maid advised that the male was upset because she cut him off and he threatened her.  Officers later located the male, Darin Morales, age 39 of Lorain, who exhibited signs of being highly intoxicated and became disorderly with the officers.  Mr. Morales was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Walking on a Highway While Under the Influence, and Obstructing Official Business.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at approximately 12:06am, an officer, while on patrol on Linn Road, observed two male subjects riding on bikes without headlights or taillights.  As the officer approached, one of the males, Bobby Higgins, age 27 of Lorain, fled on foot.   Mr. Higgins was later located and issued a citation for Obstructing Official Police Business, and Lights on Bicycle.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 12:56am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Cooper Foster Park Road in reference to a missing/unruly child complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the juvenile's mother who advised that her 14 year old son left the house without her permission after getting into a minor altercation with his sister.  The juvenile was later located and charged with Unruly Child and Curfew.  He was later transported to the Lorain County Detention Home.

On Friday, May 25, 2007, at 12:18am, an officer, while on patrol on South Main Street, observed a vehicle weaving within it's lane of travel and cross onto the white edge line.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, Oscar Rosario, age 44 of Amherst, exhibited signs of being intoxicated.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Rosario was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Weaving, and Marked Lanes.

On Saturday, May 26, 2007, at 1:46am, an officer, while on patrol in the downtown area, observed a bouncer at RC''s Brewhouse, Church Street, attempting to kick out an intoxicated male.  The male, later identified as Michael Patterson, age 22 of Amherst, was using foul language towards the bar employee and was attempting to force his way back into the bar.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Patterson was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.   During this incident, an assisting officer observed a male yelling at several people in the bar.  Officers approached the highly intoxicated male, identified as Matthew Stewart, age 21 of Lorain, and an investigation was conducted.  Mr. Stewart resisted officers and began to fight with them.  Mr. Stewart was finally detained and arrested for Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Saturday, May 26, 2007, at approximately 5:59pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of Cleveland Avenue and North Leavitt Road in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle in question and initiated a traffic stop.  An investigation was conducted and the driver, Lawrence Kaminski, age 65 of Elyria, was issued a citation for Open Container and Unsafe Vehicle.

On Saturday, May 26, 2007, at approximately 8:09pm, officers were dispatched to the Amherst Mobile Home Park in reference to a complaint of underage consumption and marijuana smoking.  Upon arrival, officers located several people under the pavilion near the pond and an investigation was conducted.  Donald Schindler, age 19 of Grafton, was found to be in possession of marijuana.  Mr. Schindler was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
