On Monday, May 18, 2009, at approximately 3:45pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Park Avenue for a belated assault complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised his 14 year old son had been attacked by another juvenile after school. An investigation was conducted and the suspect juvenile was charged with Assault. | |

On Tuesday, May 19, 2009, officers were dispatched to the area of Church Street Bar and Grill in regards to a vehicle that hit a pole. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the driver, Marta Bukovac, age 41 of Amherst, and conducted an investigation. Ms. Bukovac appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse. She was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Failure to Control, Possession of Drug Instrument, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Drugs (cocaine). | |

On Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 9:58am, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department lobby in reference to an assault complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised her juvenile daughter was assaulted by another juvenile female at Marion L. Steele the day before. An investigation was conducted and the suspect juvenile was charged with Assault. | |

On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at approximately 2:30pm, an officer was dispatched to Discount Drug Mart for a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officer met with a manager who advised that a female, later identified as Tara Neal, age 26 of Lorain, was walking out the front doors when the alarm went off. An investigation was conducted and it was learned that Neal and her aunt, Diane Bailey, age 56 of Lorain, had both been stealing items from the store. Bailey and Neal were both arrested and charged with Theft. | |

On Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at approximately 5:59pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department regarding a menacing complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised someone pulled a knife on her sons while walking home from school. She stated they were approached by a group of males and surrounded. One of males then threatened her son and pulled out a knife. An investigation was conducted and the suspect, Tim Adkins, age 18 of Amherst was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. | |

On Saturday, May 23, 2009, at approximately 3:16am, officers were dispatched to Denny’s, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, an investigation followed and several intoxicated parties were found to be involved. Michael Patterson, age 24 of Amherst, and Christopher Marcum, age 35 of Amherst, were charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. |
