On Sunday, May 11, 2008, at approximately 2:21am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Lincoln Street and East Martin Avenue, observed a vehicle weaving from one side of the roadway to the other and traveling down the center of the roadway. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Bretan Peterson, age 28 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes. | |

On Thursday May 15, 2008, at approximately 4:25pm, an officer was dispatched to State Route 2 in reference to a complaint of an intoxicated driver driving all over the roadway, traveling at a high rate of speed and almost striking several vehicles. Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle with the assistance of the caller. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Sean Svancara, age 35 of Rocky River, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Reckless Operation, and BAC over .170%. | |

On Thursday, May 15, 2008, at approximately 8:30pm, an officer was dispatched to Marion L. Steele High School in reference to an abandoned bicycle. Upon arrival, the officer located a girl's mountain bike. The bicycle was taken and placed into storage at the Amherst Police Department. A recovered bike form was completed. Anyone missing the bicycle should contact the police department with a further description. | |

On Thursday, May 15, 2008, at approximately 10:50pm, officers were dispatched to the area of State Route 2 near Oak Point Road in reference to a complaint of a possible highly intoxicated driver heading eastbound from Baumhart Road. With the information provided by the witness, the vehicle was located by the officers and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Timothy Culig, age 51 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Front Plate Required. | |

On Friday, May 16, 2008, at approximately 6:55pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Greenforest Drive in reference to an underage consumption complaint. Upon arrival, the officers met with four juvenile males and an investigation was conducted. A 16 year old male was cited for Unruly Juvenile, Underage Consumption and Sales to Underage Persons. A 17 year old male was cited for Unruly Juvenile, Possession of Tobacco, and Underage Consumption. A 16 year old male was cited Unruly Juvenile, Underage Consumption, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. A 17 year old male was cited Unruly Juvenile and Underage Consumption. | |

On Friday, May 16, 2008, at approximately 11:54pm, officers were dispatched to Shupe School, Shupe Avenue, in reference to an alarm sounding. Upon arrival, the officers located a window with the screen kicked in and it was determined that entry was made. A report was made for file and an investigation is pending. | |

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at approximately 2:18am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed two males causing a disturbance at the south exit door of the Church Street Bar and Grill, Church Street. The officer approached the males and an investigation was conducted. Christopher Maynard, age 24 of Lorain, and Daniel Grubb, age 21 of Wakeman, were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and released to a sober party. | |

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at approximately 6:24am, an officer was dispatched to State Route 2 in reference to a complaint of an erratic driver falling asleep and almost running off the road. Upon arrival into the area, the officer observed a vehicle matching the description and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Michael Riccardi Jr., age 28 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, and BAC over .08%. | |

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at approximately 8:25pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Park Avenue in reference to a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the homeowner who advised that the side door window was broken out, her residence was entered and a dog was taken. An investigation was conducted and the suspect, Katie Andress, age 39 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Burglary. | |

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at approximately 9:40pm, an officer was dispatched to 350 North Leavitt Road in reference to a possible injury accident involving a truck versus a tree. Upon arrival, the officer located the driver, Jay Miller, age 51 of Vermilion, and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Miller was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Failure to Control, Obstructing Official Business and Driving Under Suspension. | |

On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at approximately 11:50pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Meadowview Lane and Cooper Foster Park Road in reference to a suspicious occupied vehicle complaint. Upon arrival, the officers located the vehicle in question and an investigation was conducted. The juvenile driver was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana, Curfew, and Possession of Tobacco Products. |
