On March 8, 2009, at approximately 12:46am, officers were dispatched to Ziggy’s, Park Avenue in reference a harassment complaint between an ex-husband and ex-wife.  Upon arrival, the officers met with the complainant who advised his ex-wife, Chandra Nibert, age 32 of Lorain, was following him from bar to bar harassing him.  An investigation was conducted and Ms. Nibert was arrested for Obstructing Official Business and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. 

On Sunday, March 8, 2009, at approximately 1:57am, officers responded to Church Street Bar and Grill, Church Street in reference to a fight breaking out and the bouncers needing assistance. Upon arriving along the south side of the building, officers observed a male inside the bar acting in a violent and turbulent, disorderly manner.  The male, Gary Pongracz, age 25 of Vermilion, was removed from the bar.  Mr. Pongracz was cited for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Sunday, March 8, 2009, at 6:58am, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a noise complaint. The front desk clerk reported that there had been several complaints from motel guests about the occupants of a room being too loud.  Upon checking the room, officers found seven male guests under the age of 21 with alcoholic beverages.  The males, Darwin Agosto Viera (20), Michael Jones (19), William Ostalaza (19), Brian Zilka II (18), Michael Duffield (19), Ryan Wells (19) and Clayton Runion (19), all from Lorain, were cited for Underage Consumption.  Mr. Runion, the person who rented the room, was also cited for Sales to Underage Persons.

On Monday, March 9, 2009, at 2:30pm, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Amherst Police Department in regards to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the victims who reported that more than three hundred CD's had been taken from the residence.  An investigation was conducted and later turned over to the Detective Bureau.  The suspect, Raymond Fluker III, age 25 of Amherst, was later arrested for Felony Theft.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at approximately 2:30pm, an officer was dispatched to Discount Drug Mart for a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with numerous people from loss prevention who stated they had been watching two employees for the last three months.  One of the employees, Christina Funk, age 31 of Elyria, was found to be stealing from the store.  Ms. Funk was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Saturday, March 14, 2009, at approximately 1:54am, an officer observed a male in the Amherst City Lot # 1 walking away from a female who was sitting on the pavement.  As the officer approached, several witnesses stated that the male was beating the female.  The officer then observed the male advancing toward two males standing near a parked vehicle, and yelling obscenities at the two males in what appeared to be the start of a fight.  An investigation was conducted and Randall Henderson, age 26 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.
