On Monday, March 5, 2007, at approximately 1:45pm, officers were dispatched to Old Stone Methodist Church, South Main Street, in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the pastor who advised when he returned from lunch, he noticed the glass had been broken next to the door on the north side of the building. There was a large rock in the hallway near the broken glass. It appeared that an unknown person(s) had thrown it through the window. Officers checked the immediate area of the church and did not find anything tampered with. A report was made for insurance purposes. | |

On Sunday, March 4, 2007, at approximately 7:45pm, an officer, while on patrol, was flagged down by a female who advised her 14 year old son pushed her against a wall and then into the basement door after arguing about doing the dishes. During the altercation, her 17 year old daughter tried to help her mother and was threatened by the juvenile. He then ran from the residence. Officers searched the area and located the juvenile hiding under a blanket at a nearby house. The juvenile was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence 2 counts, Obstructing Official Business, Unruly Runaway, and Possession of Tobacco. | |

On Monday, March 5, 2007, at approximately 4:30pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised that he filed a report in February requesting that his ex-girlfriend discontinue any contact with him, but she is still calling. In the previous report, the complainant did not wish to file charges. He again did not want charges filed. He just wanted to report the event out of fear that she may attempt to come to his residence. The officer advised the female again and a report was made for file. | |

On Monday, March 5, 2007, at approximately 10:20pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in reference to an out of control female. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowners who stated their daughter was throwing items around inside the bedroom and was yelling at the family members. They stated she has had problems with drugs and depression and has not been taking her medication. An investigation was conducted and it was determined that no threats were made and nothing physical occurred. A report was made for file. | |

On Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at 7:03pm, an officer dispatched to a residence on Beaver Court in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. Upon arrival, the officer observed the garage to have several broken panes of glass. An investigation was conducted the homeowner requested a report in case a similar incident occurred. A report was made for file. | |

On Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at approximately 2:08am, an officer, while on patrol at Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, observed a U Haul truck parked along the northeast area of the parking near the entrance. Dispatch checked the license plate through LEADS and determined the vehicle was entered as stolen from the Toledo Police Department. The vehicle was towed and a hold was placed for Toledo Police. A report was made for file. | |

On Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at approximately 3:40pm, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officer met with security personnel who stated he observed a female place several DVD's into her purse and then attempt to leave the store without paying. An investigation was conducted and Noemi Molina, age 54 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Theft and Possession of Criminal Tools. | |

On Thursday, March 8, 2007, at approximately 8:56am, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a complaint of threats being made to an Amherst Junior High student. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the parent of the juvenile victim who stated her daughter was being threatened by other female students. An investigation was conducted and the officer spoke to all the parties involved. A report was made for file and the investigation is ongoing at this time. | |

On Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 6:22pm, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Park Avenue and Church Street in reference to a juvenile assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers located the victim and spoke to a witness who stated the juveniles appeared to be arguing and the suspect struck and pushed the victim causing him injury. The suspect then entered a vehicle, driven by another juvenile, and left the area. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was located and charged with Assault. | |

On Thursday, March 8, 2007, at approximately 5:51pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Terra Lane in reference to a possible fight, in which the aggressor had left the area in a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officers met with the complainant who advised his son was almost involved in a fight on his property. He stated his son tried to avoid conflict with the other male and it only appeared that words were being exchanged between the two. An investigation was conducted and the complainant requested officers explain to the other male to leave his son alone, and not to come back to his property again. A report was made for file. | |

On Friday, March 9, 2007, at approximately 4:01pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on East Martin Street in reference to a juvenile theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who stated he caught his grandson stealing money from him. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was issued a citation for Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 1:10am, an officer, while on patrol on Church Street and Park Avenue, noticed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Park Avenue and several bar patrons standing on the corner advising that the vehicle was all over the road. The officer initiated a traffic stop and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Corilynn Busch, age 21 of Grafton, exhibited signs of being highly intoxicated. Ms. Busch was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, B.A.C. over .170%, One Way Street, Stop Sign, and Driving in Marked Lanes. | |

On Saturday, March, 10, 2007, at approximately 2:14am, an officer, while on patrol on Tenney Avenue, observed an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. The male, Anthony Diaz, age 22 of Vermilion, was found to be extremely intoxicated and falling down. The male was transported to the Amherst Police Department to await a ride home. Mr. Diaz began resisting and acting disorderly while in the front lobby. Mr. Diaz was issued a citation Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct Persisting and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, March, 10, 2007, at 11:43pm, an officer, while on patrol in the parking lot of Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, located a vehicle with expired license plates. The officer made contact with the vehicle owner, Bradford Schnell, age 29 of Lorain, and found him to be in possession of drugs. Mr. Schnell was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Saturday, March 11, 2007, at approximately 11:18pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Axtel Street in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the officers spoke to the complainant who stated her boyfriend dumped beer on her head after an argument and left on foot. An investigation was conducted and it was determined that no physical violence occurred. A report was made for file. |
