On Sunday, March 1, 2009, at approximately 1:05am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Cooper Foster Park Rd. in reference to a missing 15 year old male.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the parents who advised that their son had left the residence sometime during the night.  They found their son's bedroom window slightly open and suspected that he had snuck out of the residence while the family was asleep.  While at the residence taking the report, the juvenile arrived home.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was charged with Unruly Child and Curfew.

On Sunday, March 1, 2009, at approximately 3:17am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Tenney Avenue in reference a bloody and intoxicated male who was on their property in a fenced area.  The homeowner did not know the male and requested ambulance on scene as well.  Upon arrival, the male, Jared Holbrook, age 28 of Amherst, ran from officers and resisted arrest.  Holbrook was eventually captured and was transported to the hospital.   Mr. Holbrook was issued a citation for Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Official Business, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Sunday, March 1, 2009, at 4:31pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Church Street in regards to an unruly juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer was met by the 15 year old caller.  He advised that his mother attempted to run him over with the van.  After speaking with her, it was determined that he was unruly by attempting to damage her van and run away from the residence.  He was issued a citation for Unruly Juvenile.

On Friday, March 6, 2009, at 4:33pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Edgewood Drive in regards to a domestic violence complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim who stated that he was assaulted by his 15 year old son in the residence.  He advised that he wished to pursue charges against his son. The juvenile was arrested for Domestic Violence and transported to the Turning Point.

On Friday, March 6, 2009, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Main Street in reference to a soon to be ex-husband causing problems at the residence. The complaint reported that he left the area headed north.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised that her husband, Christopher Brian Throckmorton, age 25 of Lorain, came to her residence that morning and broke the front door when she would not answer the door. After the damage, Mr. Throckmorton left the area in his vehicle and headed north bound on North Main Street.  Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.  An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Throckmorton for Criminal Damaging.  On March 7, 2009, Mr. Throckmorton came to the Amherst Police Department and was arrested and charged with Criminal Damaging.

On Saturday, March 7, 2009, at approximately 5:05am, an officer was on patrol on East Martin and observed a vehicle parked in the street violating the overnight parking ordinance.  Upon approaching the vehicle and issuing a parking citation, the officer observed that there was a male sleeping in the driver's seat.  An investigation was conducted and the male Ethan Irish, age 19 of Wellington, was cited for Underage Consumption.
