On Sunday, June 29, 2008, at approximately 6:10am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Westchester Drive in reference to juveniles shooting BB guns off the back porch. Upon arrival, the officer located a 17 year old male and an investigation was conducted.  The juvenile was arrested and charged with Discharging Firearms within City Limits and Underage Consumption.

On Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 11:06pm, an officer was dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a three year old girl that was found wandering the property and pool area.  Upon arrival, officers located the room which the girl came from and met with the girl's mother, Desmarie Henderson, age 22 of Lorain, who was sound asleep.  Once awakened, the officer advised Ms. Henderson of her daughter's whereabouts and the daughter was handed over to her.  She was given a verbal warning for child endangering and officers cleared the area only to return a couple hours later for another occurrence.  Ms. Henderson was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Endangering Children.  The three year old daughter and seven month old son were handed over to Ms. Henderson's mother for the remainder of the evening.  A copy of the report will be forwarded to the Lorain County Children's Services.

On Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at approximately 2:00am, an officer, while on patrol on Kresge Drive near Route 58, observed a vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane facing westbound on Kresge Drive.   The officer positioned his vehicle behind the stopped vehicle and activated his overhead lights.  An investigation was conducted and the driver, Michael Cariglio, 22 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated and State Refusal.

On Saturday, July 5, 2008, at approximately 11:10pm, an officer, while on patrol in City Lot 3, checked on an occupied suspicious vehicle parked in the lot.  After an investigation, the driver, Jordan Oleszczuk, age 20 of Grafton, was arrested and charged with Possession Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
