On Sunday, June 1, 2008, at approximately 12:37am, officers were dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in reference to a menacing complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to several people involved in the incident. The male who was found to be causing the disturbance was underage and intoxicated. The male, John Villafane age 18 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Underage Consumption. | |

On Sunday, June 1, 2008, at 2:56am, an officer, while patrolling Maude Neiding Park, Cleveland Avenue, located an unoccupied vehicle parked in the lot. The officer observed a male and female walking in his direction from approximately half way through the park. Contact was made with the individuals and an investigation was conducted. The juvenile female was given a citation for Curfew and released to her father. | |

On Sunday, June 1, 2008, at approximately 5:00pm, an officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks near Mill Avenue and Maple Avenue in reference to dirt bike riders on the tracks. Upon arrival, the officer located two males, Brian Kensik, age 20 of Vermilion, and a 17 year old male of Berlin Heights. An investigation was conducted and both were cited for Railroad Trespass. | |

On Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at approximately 6:34pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department lobby in reference to a violation of a protection order complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim and an investigation revealed that the ex-boyfriend, William Snyder, age 53 of Wakeman, violated the order by contacting the victim's family. A warrant was issued for the Mr. William’s arrest. Mr. Williams later turned himself in. | |

On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at approximately 1:44am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Forde Avenue and York Imperial, observed a vehicle traveling left of the center in his lane of travel. The officer got behind the vehicle as it pulled quickly into a driveway on York Imperial Drive. The driver, Carlo Ernande, age 25 of Vermilion, exited the vehicle and fled into the residence. A foot chase ensued and Mr. Ernande was apprehended inside the residence. Mr. Ernande was arrested and charged with Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of Police Officer, Obstructing Official Police Business, Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, Left of Center, and Marked Lanes. | |

On Thursday, June 5, 2008, at approximately 11:12pm, officers were flagged down by Amherst Hospital Security in reference to four juveniles throwing rocks from the rear parking lot of Ziggy's Bar. The security officer advised some of the rocks hit a vehicle in the hospital parking lot. Shortly after, four males were found running across Cleveland Avenue from the parking lot of First Merit. The officer stopped the juveniles and an investigation was conducted. The four males were given a verbal warning for throwing rocks. The two 13 year-old juveniles were cited for curfew and later released to a parent. | |

On Friday, June 6, 2008, at approximately 3:34am, an officer, while on patrol on North Quarry Road near Winesap, observed two males walking southbound on North Quarry Rd. As the officer approached, one of the males jumped into the woods and began to run. An investigation was conducted and the male that ran was located. The male was identified as Tyler Runkle, age 18 of Elyria. Mr. Runkle was arrested and charged with Obstructing Official Police, Underage Consumption and Disorderly Conduct. | |

On Saturday, June 7, 2008, at approximately 9:00pm, an officer was dispatched to Milan Avenue for a female riding a bicycle that appeared to be very intoxicated. Upon arrival, the officer located the female and an investigation was conducted. Sherry Perkins, age 44 of Amherst, was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disorderly Conduct Persisting. |
