On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at approximately 1:27am, an officer, while on patrol, observed a male urinating on a vehicle in the Amherst Hospital parking lot, Cleveland Avenue.  An investigation was conducted and the male, Matthew McCauley, age 28 of Amherst, issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at approximately 2:14am, an officer, while on patrol in the downtown area, observed a vehicle traveling back and forth in the center of the roadway.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.  The driver, Paul Ottman, age 43 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, and Weaving.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at approximately 2:27am, officers were dispatched to an Amherst Village Mobile Home Park residence in reference to an intoxicated male with no shirt on knocking over garbage cans.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted.  The intoxicated male, Joshua Kincer, age 21 of Lorain, was later located after he had attempted to knock on several doors.  Mr. Kincer was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at approximately 2:57am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Cleveland Avenue and Washington Avenue, observed a vehicle travel left of center several times, weave within it's lane of travel and strike a curb.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver and front passenger exited the vehicle and ran from the officer.  The rear passenger was detained and an investigation was conducted.  All three occupants were later identified and charged. The 16 year old driver was charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, DUS, Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, Underage Consumption, Open Container in Motor Vehicle, Curfew, Failure to Control, Turn Signal, Marked Lanes, and Display of Plates.  The 17 year old front passenger was charged with Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, Underage Consumption, Open Container in Motor Vehicle, and Curfew.  The rear passenger, Justin McQuaid, age 18 of Elyria, was charged with Underage Consumption.

On Sunday, June 17, 2007, at approximately 4:31am, officers were dispatched to the area of McDonald's Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  The vehicle was located and a traffic stop initiated. After an investigation was conducted, the driver, Harold Kincer Jr., age 20 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated,  BAC  over .08%, Underage Consumption, Driving in Marked Lanes, Weaving, and Signals Before Changing Lanes.

On Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at 2:23am, officers were dispatched to Charles Avenue in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint.  The caller advised a female and male were walking down the street yelling and possibly arguing.  Upon arrival, officer located the male and female in question stumbling in the roadway.  An investigation was conducted and the highly intoxicated female, Tara Mertz, age 20 of Amherst, issued a citation for Underage Consumption.

On Thursday, June 21, 2007, at approximately 9:06pm, an officer was dispatched to Sunoco, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a man down complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer located the male, Michael Demarco, age 51 of Lorain, sleeping on the sidewalk.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Demarco was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Open Container, and Littering.

On Friday, June 22, 2007, at approximately 2:47pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a missing juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised his 17 year old son went to a friend’s house the day before and has not returned.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was issued a citation for Unruly Juvenile.

On Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 2:22am, an officer, while on bike patrol downtown, noticed a male urinating in the doorway of Dr. Lutz's office.  An investigation was conducted and the highly intoxicated male, Joshua Kincer, age 21 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.
