On Saturday, June 15, 2008, at approximately 12:54am, an officer was dispatched to Linn Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident where the vehicle had left the scene. Upon arriving on scene, the vehicle involved returned. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Amanda Perez, age 21 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08 and Failure to Control. | |

On Sunday, June 15, 2008, at approximately 3:49am, an officer, while on patrol on Woodhaven Drive and Seaton Court, observed what appeared to be two juvenile males walking down the street. Contact was made and an investigation was conducted. The juveniles, ages 17 and 13, were cited for Underage Consumption and Curfew. | |

On Sunday, June 15, 2008, at approximately 3:49am, an officer, while on patrol on North Leavitt Road near the Amherst Post Office, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within lane of travel and cross over the double yellow several times. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Victor Ortega, age 23 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes. | |

On Sunday, June 15th, 2008, at approximately 4:23pm, officers were dispatched to the gazebo on Church Street in reference to juveniles writing on the property. Upon arrival, three females and one male were located and an investigation was conducted. All were cited for Criminal Damage and Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at approximately 1:06am, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a noise disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers observed a door open and several subjects standing in the room and on the balcony. The officers made contact with the parties and an investigation was conducted. Miranda D'Ambrosio, age 18 of Amherst, and Kayla Sorrell, age 18 of Amherst, were cited for Underage Consumption. Three male juveniles, all 17 of Lorain, were cited for Curfew and released to a parent. | |

On Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at approximately 11:59pm, officers were dispatched to Maple Street in reference to a vehicle that had been observed traveling on the railroad tracks. Upon arrival, the officers located the vehicle in question on the tracks in the area of Milan Avenue, but it failed to stop for the officers. The vehicle was later located on Crosse Road and a traffic stop was initiated. After an investigation, the driver, Scott Beachler was arrested and charged with Railroad, Failure to Comply with Lawful Order, No Headlights, Safety Belt, Display of License Plates, Driving Under Suspension, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, and BAC over .08. The passenger, Kelly Young, age 39 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Railroad Trespass, Wrongful Entrustment, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Thursday, June 19, 2008, at approximately 9:32pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of Wendy's, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a complaint of a vehicle that had run the two red lights almost striking another vehicle. The complainant advised the vehicle pulled into the Wendy’s parking lot. Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle parked in the parking lot. The officer made contact with the driver, Ryan Sartoski, age 35 of Birmingham, and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Sartoski was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%. | |

On Friday, June 20, 2008, at approximately 1:22am, officers, while on patrol downtown, were advised by a patron of Church Street Bar and Grille, Church Street, of a male who was selling drugs inside the bar. Officers located the male, Dominique Thompson, age 25 of Lorain. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Thompson was arrested and charged with Possession Cocaine, Possession Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Friday, June 20, 2008, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department lobby in reference to a criminal damage to vehicle complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who stated his vehicle was spray painted with white enamel paint during the night while parked on Westchester Drive. It was also learned the two other vehicles on Westchester Driver were also damaged by spray paint. A report was taken for insurance purposes. | |

On Saturday, June 21, 2008, at approximately 2:10am, an officer, while on patrol in the downtown area, observed a female standing in the parking lot of Wyvill’s Gas Station, Cleveland Avenue. The officer made contact with the female, Jacqueline Iliff, age 38 of Lorain, who exhibited signs that she was intoxicated. Ms. Iliff began to act in a disorderly manner while being assisted by the officer and was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, June 21, 2008, at approximately 2:50am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed several males stumbling through the parking lot of Olde Town Pizza, Cleveland Avenue. One of the males then attempted to break the Olde Town Pizza sign. The officer approached the males and an investigation was conducted. Brian Reinhardt, age 26 of Elyria, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. |
