On Sunday, June14, 2009, at 1:00am, an officer was dispatched to The Pour House Bar, Park Avenue, in regards to a female that had been struck my a male.  Upon arrival, the officer observed the male in question attempting to leave the area in a vehicle.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  Scott Rastovski, age 27 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Display of Headlights, Operating Vehicle Intoxicated, and B.A.C. over .08. 

On Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at approximately 9:50am, an officer was dispatched to East Street in reference to two Rotweillers attacking another dog. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the dog's owner and the owner of the Rotweillers, Patricia Logar, age 57 of Amherst.  An investigation was conducted and Ms. Logar was cited for Dog at Large.

On Friday, June 19, 2009, at approximately 1:51am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Park Avenue.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Erin Lilly, age 25 of Westlake, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicate, Driving under Suspension, BAC over .08, and One Way Street.

On Friday, June 19, 2009, officers were dispatched to Pure Gas Station, Cooper Foster Park Road, in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint.  An off-duty Amherst Police Officer had instructed an individual to turn down his vehicle's music.  The male, Bernie Figueroa, age 19 of Lorain, who was a passenger of the above mentioned vehicle, then confronted the off-duty officer in a loud and turbulent manner.  The off-duty officer identified himself as a police officer and contacted police.  Mr. Figueroa was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.

On Friday, June 19, 2009, at approximately 8:35pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on North Ridge Road regarding a domestic violence complaint that a brother and sister were physically fighting in the front yard.  Upon arrival, the parties were separated and an investigation was conducted.  The 14 year old juvenile was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. While sitting in the back of the cruiser, the juvenile attempted to kick out the rear passenger side window.  He was additionally charged with Escape and transported to the Detention Home.
