On Sunday, July 29, 2007, at approximately 8:41am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on West Martin Street in reference to a criminal damaging complaint.   Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the homeowner who advised an unknown person blew up his mailbox.  An investigation was conducted and a report was taken for file.

On Sunday, July 29, 2007, at approximately 7:31pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised an unknown person stole his Apple I-pod from his car.  An investigation was conducted and a report was made for file.

On Monday, July 30, 2007, at approximately 5:54pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Linn Road in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and the 14 year old juvenile was cited for Unruly Child.

On Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at approximately 8:16pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised an unknown person(s) took items from the inside of her house.  A report was taken for file and further investigation is pending.

On Wednesday, August, 1, 2007, at 12:52am, officers were dispatched to The Big Eaze, Park Avenue, in reference to a fight.  Upon arrival, officers spoke to several witnesses who advised a male became belligerent when asked to produce identification at the bar and had to be physically removed by employees.  A struggle ensued outside.  An investigation was conducted and Matthew Rainey, age 20 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Underage Consumption.

On Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at 9:57pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Meadowview Lane in reference to a theft of a bicycle complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised several juveniles on bicycles came to his residence asking for his daughter.  A short time later, they noticed their black eastern model bike was missing from the garage.  An investigation was conducted and a report was taken for file.

On Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 3:26pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised his wife discovered someone entered their vehicle and stole money from the change holder.  A report was taken for file and turned over to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.

On Thursday, August 2, 2007, at approximately 4:56pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Pearl Street in reference to a theft from motor vehicle complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised that an unknown person(s) stole the car radio out of his vehicle.  An investigation was conducted and a report taken for file.

On Friday, August 3, 2007, at approximately 1:34am, officers were dispatched to State Route 2 near State Route 58 in reference to a motor vehicle accident where a vehicle had run off the road.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the driver, Matthew Ecker, age 24 of Lorain, was arrested and  charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Failure to Control, BAC over .08, and Driving Under Suspension.

On Friday, August 3, 2007, at approximately 3:12pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Rock Creek Run in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, the complainant advised that the juvenile damaged his bedroom by punching a hole in the wall.  He also advised the juvenile shot his bedroom walls with a bb gun.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was charged with Unruly Child.

On Saturday, August 4, 2007, at 9:11am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Sleepy Hollow Drive in reference to items thrown into the swimming pool.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who reported that someone pulled out several decorative landscaping grasses from the ground and threw them into the swimming pool. There was also a potted plant from the neighbor’s yard and two landscaping pavers located in the pool.  An investigation was conducted and a report was made for file.
