On Thursday, July 29, 2010, at approximately 1:18am, officers were dispatched to Wyvill's Marathon, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to a call of two males dressed in black with their faces covered breaking into the above location. The caller observed a shattered window at the closed business and saw two males run through the inside. Upon arrival in the area, the officers checked the building and surrounding area with negative results. A LCSO K9 unit arrived to the scene in an attempt to get a track of the males as they fled the area, but lost the scent after approximately one half mile. While at the scene, an officer responded to the Lorain Super K where a LCSO Deputy had a juvenile male detained who was located in a possible stolen vehicle. Another juvenile male had also fled on foot from the vehicle. Evidence from the vehicle confirmed that the occupants were involved in the breaking and entering. An investigation was conducted and the 13 year old male was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering, Unruly Child, and Possession of Criminal Tools. The other juvenile, age 15, was brought in the next day by his parents. He was also arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering, Unruly Child, and Possession of Criminal Tools. | |

On Friday, July 30, 2010, at approximately 9:28pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Macintosh Lane in regards to a missing juvenile. Upon arrival, the officer met with the parents who advised their 17 year old son was missing. They stated their son packed some belongings and left the residence and refused to come home. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile came home the next day. He was charged with Unruly child and cited into the Diversion program at the Amherst Police Department. | |

On Saturday, July 31, 2010, at approximately 3:07pm, an officer was dispatched to the police department regarding a telephone harassment complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised she has received some messages from a friend of hers, Kenneth Freeman, age 39 of Lorain, that she considers as both harassing and threatening. An investigation was conducted and a warrant was issued for Mr. Freeman. Mr. Freeman was located several days later at his residence. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Menacing and Telephone Harassment. |
