On Sunday, July 13, 2008, at approximately 2:17am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed two males and a female at the back of a pick up truck in the Amherst Hospital parking lot. The officer stopped to speak to the parties and an investigation was conducted. James Konnerth, age 20 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. Derek Vogan, age 19 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption. | |

On Sunday, July 13, 2008, at approximately 2:17am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Park Avenue and weaving from side to side. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver Gretchen Swann, age 23 of Beavercreek, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, One Way Street, and Weaving. | |

On Sunday, July 13, 2008, an officer was dispatched to the area of State Route 2 near North Lake Street in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival into the area, the vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Selena Smith, age 26 of Wakeman, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC .08%, Weaving Course, and Driving Marked Lanes. | |

On Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at approximately 3:39pm, an officer was dispatched to Amherst Brew & Wine Center, Cooper Foster Road in reference to an individual using false identification to purchase liquor. Upon arrival, the officer met with an employee who advised a male attempted to use a driver’s license that did not belong to him to buy alcohol and they confiscated it from him. An investigation was conducted and George Moore II, age 18 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Furnishing False Information to Obtain Intoxicating Liquor by Person under Twenty-one. | |

On Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at 5:17am, officers were dispatched to Amherst Hospital Emergency Room in reference to a deception to obtain drugs complaint. Upon arrival, officers met with the E.R doctor who advised the female in question, Jennifer Lewis, age 32 of Strongsville, came in by ambulance complaining of abdominal pain and requested to be brought to Amherst instead of Community Health Partners. The doctor, being suspicious, checked further and learned that Ms. Lewis had just been seen at Community Health Partners Emergency Room a couple hours earlier for the same symptoms and was given a prescription. An investigation was conducted and Ms. Lewis was arrested and charged with Deception to Obtain Dangerous Drugs and Intimidation of a Witness. | |

On Friday, July 18, 2008, at 2:10am, an officer, while on bike patrol in the area of Tenney Avenue and Church Street, observed a vehicle traveling at an extremely high rate of speed towards his direction with its engine roaring. The officer had to make an evasive maneuver to get onto the side walk due to the fact it appeared the operator was purposely racing towards the officer’s direction to possibly strike him. The driver, Ashley Muncy, age 21 of North Carolina, came to an abrupt stop at the intersection when she noticed the officer. The officer immediately approached the driver's side of the vehicle and made contact with Ms. Muncy. An investigation was conducted and Ms. Muncy was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, and Reckless Operation. | |

On Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 1:32am, an officer, while on bike patrol downtown, noticed a female lying down in a fetal position behind a vehicle parked near the exit of Ziggy’s parking lot near Church St. The officer approached the female, Alyssa Wilson, age 20 of Lorain, who was passed out and woke her up. Ms. Wilson then stood up almost falling over because she was unable to keep her balance while standing. While speaking with Ms. Wilson I was able to detect a very strong odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from on or about her person. Ms. Wilson's eyes were glassy in appearance and her speech was slurred when speaking. I asked Ms. Wilson how many intoxicating beverages she consumed. Ms. Wilson stated "way too much." Ms. Wilson was issued a citation for Underage Consumption. | |

On Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 2:16am, an officer, while on bike patrol in City Lot # 1 near Tenney Avenue, noticed a male that matched the description of a male that was involved in a incident that occurred earlier in the evening downtown enter into the passenger's seat of a vehicle parked in the parking lot. The vehicle in question exited the city parking lot and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Jessica Bolen, age 21 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08% and Plate Light. |
