On Friday, February 1, 2008, at approximately 1:02am, an officer, while on patrol at Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, was informed by two separate individuals of a disturbing the peace complaint coming from on of the rooms. Upon investigating, officers located six individuals inside the room and several were found to be intoxicated. All parties were advised to leave the room and were taken control of by a sober party. The renter of the room, Tiffany Auman, age 18 of Elyria, was cited for Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Friday, February 1, 2008, at 7:04pm, officers were dispatched to cul-de-sac at the end of North Quarry Road in reference to two occupied suspicious vehicles parked on the street. While en route to the area, dispatch advised the complainant called back and stated both vehicles were leaving the area. As the officers approached the intersection of North Lake Street and West Martin Avenue, they noticed a vehicle matching the description and driving with its trunk completely open. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. Both juvenile male occupants exhibited signs of alcohol consumption and were found to be in possession of alcohol. Both cited for Underage Consumption and later turned over to the custody of a parent at the Amherst Police Department. | |

On Friday, February 1, 2008, at approximately 11:24pm, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Milan Avenue, observed a vehicle exhibiting several moving violations. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Larry Eshelman, age 59 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Marked Lanes, Open Container, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, February 2, 2008, at approximately 1:51am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Church Street, observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed and exhibiting several moving violations. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver, Christopher Carter, age 34 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Reckless Operation, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 2:06am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Church Street and Tenney Avenue, observed a vehicle travel left of center and fail to use a turn signal. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Martha Bower, age 26 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Driving under Suspension, Turn Signal, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, February 02, 2008, at approximately 11:59pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Blossom Drive in reference to a complaint of three males driving around the neighborhood smashing mailboxes with a wooden board. Upon arrival, the officers observed a vehicle matching the description parked on Birch Lane and an investigation was conducted. The 17 year old driver was issued a citation for Resisting, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Curfew, Disturbing the Peace, and Underage Consumption. Two other males, ages 17 and 16, and a female, age 15, were issued citations for Underage Consumption and Curfew. Another juvenile female, age 17, fled the scene, but was later identified and issued a citation for Curfew, Obstructing Official Business, and Underage Consumption. |
