On Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 12:34am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on South Main Street in reference to a possible drug abuse/disturbing the peace complaint coming from a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer located an occupied vehicle and an investigation was conducted. The male occupant, Michael Haupricht, age 19 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Sunday, January 20, 2008, at approximately 2:52am, officers were dispatched to Taco Bell, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a vehicle in the drive thru line that was laying on the horn and yelling at the customers in front of his vehicle. While en route, the officer was advised the vehicle was now striking the back of the vehicle in front of him. Upon arrival, the officers located the suspect vehicle exiting the parking lot and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Timothy Draves, age 49 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Assault, Disturbing the Peace, Aggravated Menacing, and Ethnic intimidation. | |

On Sunday, January 20, 2008, at approximately 4:26am, an officer was dispatched to an accident on Elyria Avenue and East Street. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the driver, Rachel Clark, age 18 of Amherst, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of drugs. Ms. Clark was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Open Container, Underage Consumption, Possession Marijuana, and Reckless Operation. The female juvenile passenger was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Forgery, Providing False Information to a Police Officer, Obstructing Official Business, Underage Consumption, and Curfew. | |

On Monday, January 21, 2008, at approximately 6:25pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Coopers Run for a domestic complaint. Upon arrival, the officers met with the victim who stated her soon to be ex-husband, Tavian Coleman, age 34 of Sheffield Village, came to the house, grabbed her and threw her to the ground. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Coleman was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. | |

On Monday, January 21, 2008, at approximately 11:45pm, officers were dispatched to Dairy Mart, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to a heavily intoxicated male walking around vehicles in the parking lot. Upon arrival, the officers located David Nugent, age 43 of Amherst, extremely intoxicated and leaning on the counter in the store. Mr. Nugent became confrontational with the officers and was arrested for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct Persisting. | |

On Friday, January 24, 2008, at approximately 12:03am, officers were dispatched to the lobby of the Amherst Police Department to speak to a female who advised her 16 year-old daughter was walking around the street and would not come home. Upon arrival, the officers located the juvenile on Forde Avenue and an investigation was conducted. The juvenile was cited into Juvenile Court for Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, Unruly Child, and Curfew. | |

On Saturday, January 25, 2008, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a security officer from the store who advised a male was observed taking several items of merchandise and placing them in the possession of his mother, later identified as Donna M. Ramirez, age 48 of Lorain. Ms. Ramirez then left the store with the merchandise. An investigation was conducted and Ms. Ramirez was arrested and charged with Petty Theft. |
