On Monday, January 14, 2008, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Ridge Road in reference to a domestic violence complaint.  Upon arrival, officers spoke to all involved parties and an investigation was conducted.  It was determined that the male juvenile was the primary physical aggressor. The male juvenile arrested and charged with Domestic Violence and Unruly Child.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 12:54am, an officer was dispatched to South Leavitt Road and North Ridge Road in reference to a hit skip accident. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim and an investigation was conducted.   While speaking with the victim, the officer noticed a male, later identified as Jermale Wright, age 31 of Lorain, and a female, walking northbound on South Leavitt Road towards his location.  Contact was made with both subjects and after a further investigation it was learned Mr. Wright was operating the suspect vehicle which was located on Ridgeland Drive with damage consistent with the accident.  Mr. Wright was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal. Driving under Suspension, Expired Plates, Walking on a Highway Intoxicated Red Light, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

On Saturday, January 19, 2008, at approximately 12:44am, an officer was dispatched to Taco Bell, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a truck in the drive thru line that had struck the building.  The restaurant manager advised the male driver appeared to be intoxicated.  Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle leaving the parking lot and initiated a traffic stop.  An investigation was conducted and the driver, Guy Parker, age 46 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, and Reckless Operation.

On Saturday, January 19, 2008 at approximately 7:40pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Cooper Foster Park Road in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  Upon arrival, the officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.  The driver, Albert White, age 43 of Lodi, exited the vehicle and stumbled almost falling down.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. White was arrested and charged with Unsafe Vehicle, Marked Lanes, Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, fifth offense Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, and BAC over .170%.

On Saturday, January 19, 2008, at approximately 11:35pm, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a report that a male was inside of the store with his young son, and the male appeared to be intoxicated and yelling at the boy.  Upon arrival, the officers located the male and child leaving the parking lot in a vehicle.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver of the vehicle, Kevin Madigan, age 53 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Expired Drivers License, Open Container, and Endangering Children.
