On Sunday, February 3, 2008, at approximately 12:50am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Greenlawn and Washington Street, observed two young female subjects walking in the middle of the street.  The officer approached the females and an investigation was conducted.  Both juveniles, ages 15 and 13, were issued citations for Curfew and released to their parents.

On Sunday, February 3, 2008, at approximately 2:41am, officers were dispatched to the rear parking lot of Church Street Bar, Church Street, in reference to a possible fight in progress.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and Gabriel Varner, age 24 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct Persisting.

On Sunday, February 03, 2008, at approximately 2:41am, while officers were in the rear parking lot of Church Street Bar, Church Street, with possible fight, a vehicle was observed running the stop sign at Tenney Avenue and South Main Street.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  the driver, Ryan Bowsher, age 22 of Amherst was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Reckless Operation and Stop Sign.

On Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 11:33pm, an officer was dispatched to the cul-de-sac on North Quarry Road in reference to a vehicle that ran off of the roadway and was stuck in the lawn.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the driver, Richard Kaye, age 39 of Amherst, and an investigation was conducted.   Mr. Kaye was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Open Container, and Failure to Control.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at 11:58pm, officers, while on patrol on South Main Street, observed a vehicle weaving within its lane of travel.   A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Anita Meyer, age 45 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Marked Lanes and Weaving.

On Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 10:57pm, an officer, while on patrol near Church Street and Park Avenue, heard people yelling and observed a disturbance in front of Ziggy’s Bar.    Officers met with employees from the bar and learned a male, identified as Brad Schuster, 36 of Sheffield Lake, was causing a disturbance inside the bar and had to be physically escorted out because he refused to leave.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Schuster was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Official Business, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Disturbing the Peace, and Littering.

On Friday, February 8, 2008, at approximately 9:19pm, an officer, while on patrol, observed two vehicles sitting at the traffic light on Cooper Foster Park Road, with the drivers outside of their vehicles standing in the roadway.  An investigation was conducted and it was learned the vehicles were involved in a minor traffic accident.  One of the drivers, Debra Ganobcik, age 47 of Lorain, had a very strong odor of intoxicating beverage coming from her person.   Ms. Ganobcik was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, and Assured Clear Distance.

On Saturday, February 9, 2008, at approximately 1:17am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling on Church Street that did not come to a complete stop at the intersection and did not use its turn signal.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Daniel Rainey, age 39 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Stop Sign, and Turn Signal.

On Saturday, February 9, 2008, at approximately 2:36am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle leaving City Lot #3 in the wrong turn lane and travel into the oncoming lane of traffic.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Kristina Edmison, age 30 of Lakewood, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Marked Lanes, Weaving Course, and One Way Streets.
