On Sunday, February 28, 2010, at approximately 2:51am, an officer, while on patrol on North Leavitt Road near Park Avenue, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Katie Noles, age 25 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Bac over .170%, and Weaving.

On Monday, March 1, 2010, at 6:34pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Tenney Avenue in regards to a domestic violence complaint.  Upon arrival, officers could hear a male screaming from the upstairs of the house.  Officers made contact with the male, Christopher Vullien, age 39 of Amherst and attempted to calm him down.  Mr Vullien refused to comply with officers and acted in an aggressive manner.  Mr. Vullien was tased and eventually arrested and charged with Domestic Violence (2 counts), Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Official Business.

On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at 12:51am, officers, while on patrol in the parking lot of Marathon Gas Station, North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle cross over the double yellow line on Cooper Foster.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Steven Montgomery, age 44 of Amherst , was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Driving under Suspension, Obstructing Official Business, Driving in Marked Lanes, and Display of Plates.

On Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11:51pm, an officer, while on patrol in City Parking Lot #3, observed a vehicle parked in a parking space and running with the lights on.  The officer performed a registration check through LEADS on the vehicle.  The LEADS response showed that the owner, Robert Kubic, age 40 of Amherst, was under a lifetime suspension for multiple OVI convictions.   When the officer turned around to reenter the parking lot, he noticed the vehicle in question was now traveling through the parking lot towards Park Avenue.  A traffic stop was initiated to determine if Mr. Kubic was the operator and an investigation was conducted.   Mr. Kubic was the driver and was arrested and charged with Felony Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated 7th offense, State Refusal, and Driving under Suspension.
