On Sunday, February 24, 2008, at approximately 1:28am, an officer, while on patrol on Cleveland Street, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its lane of travel and nearly strike the curb several times. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.   The driver, Dale Baker, age 23 of North Ridgeville, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Driving under Suspension, Drug Paraphernalia, and Weaving.

On Sunday, February 24, 2008, at approximately 3:24am, officers were dispatched to North Lake Street and State Route 2 overpass in reference to an accident.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the driver, Jeffrey Blackford, age 48 of Wakeman, and an investigation was conducted.   Mr. Blackford was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, and Turning at Intersections.

On Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at 2:00pm, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a shoplifter complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the manager who advised a male, identified as Nolie Croft, age 52 of Lorain, took several miscellaneous groceries and concealed them under his coat.  An investigation was conducted and Mr. Croft was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Friday, February 29, 2008, at 2:34am, an officer, while on patrol on North Ridge Road, observed a vehicle weaving within its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Jennifer McHugh, age 31 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes.

On Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 2:27am, an officer, while on patrol on South Main Street and Cleveland Avenue, observed a vehicle make an extremely wide turn causing the vehicle to travel into the opposite lane of travel on Cleveland Avenue.  The operator continued to travel on the wrong side of the road for approximately 50 feet before gradually swerving over to its proper lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Adrianna Hickman, age 20 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, Marked Lanes,  and Underage Consumption.
