On Sunday, February 21, 2010, at approximately 2:46am, officers were dispatched to Denny’s Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a male consuming alcohol inside the restaurant.  Upon arrival, the male was located and found to be consuming vodka from an open bottle.  The male's friend was also found to be intoxicated and causing a problem for officers during the investigation.  Shalamar Thompson, age 23 of Lorain, was arrested for Open Container.  Jerrell White, age 22 of Sheffield Village, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Monday, February 22, 2010, at 3:17pm, officers were dispatched to Dots, Cooper Foster Park Road, in regards to a female shoplifting clothing.  While en route to the scene, the suspect exited the store and left the area in a vehicle.  Upon arrival, the officers located the vehicle in question and a traffic stop was initiated.  An investigation was conducted and the female suspect, Wendy Swain, age 48 of Sandusky, was arrested and charged with Theft. 

On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, approximately 1:33am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of North Ridge Road, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and with expired plates.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Rachel Ayala, age 29 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Expired Plates, Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, and BAC over .08. 

On Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 7:12pm, an officer received information that a male with an active warrant through the Erie County Sheriff”s Dept.was at Motel 6, North Leavitt Road.  The officer responded to the motel and located the male, Anthony Zayas, age 25 of Lorain.  During the investigation, the officer located drugs in the room.  Mr. Zayas was arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin, Drug Abuse Instruments, and Drug Paraphernalia.  

On Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 11:28pm, officers responded to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, to attempt to serve a warrant out of the Lorain County Sheriff”s Dept. on a male who was registered to a room.   Contact was made with the male, Dishon Longmire, age 25 of Lorain, at the room and an investigation was conducted.  Mr. Longmire was taken into custody for the active warrant and also issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana.

On Saturday, February 27, 2010, at approximately 2:38am, officers were dispatched to the area of Amherst Hospital, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to two males that were intoxicated.  The males were reported by Amherst Hospital security to have walked through the interior of the hospital and became belligerent when told to leave.  Upon arrival, the officers located to males in question and an investigation was conducted.  Cody Mellon, age 19 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Littering.  Jeffrey Gula, age 22 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Littering.
