 On Thursday, February 21, 2008, at approximately 2:29am, an officer performed a random registration check on a vehicle traveling on Park Avenue using the LEADS Ilincs in-car computer.  After receiving the response from LEADS, it advised the listed owner of the vehicle, Christina Siegfried, age 26 of Lorain, had a suspended driver's license.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  Ms. Siegfried was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, and Driving under Suspension.

On Thursday, February 21, 2008, at approximately 7:22pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a harassment complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant and her juvenile son.  According to the juvenile, he was being harassed on the phone by a juvenile male and he then showed up at the residence with two other males and attempted to entice him into a fight.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile suspect was charged with Unruly Child, Inciting Violence, and Telephone Harassment.

On Saturday, February 23, 2008, at approximately 12:22am, an officer, while on patrol, observed a suspicious male walking on Cleveland Avenue.  The officer made contact with the male, Jeremy Newton, age 20 of Lorain, and an Investigation was conducted.  Mr. Newton was issued a citation for Underage Consumption and Walking on Streets Intoxicated.

On Saturday, February 23, 2008, at 2:05am, an officer performed a random registration check on an occupied vehicle parked in City Lot 3 using the LEADS Ilincs in-car computer.  After receiving the response from LEADS it was learned the vehicle's registration had expired.  The officer approached the female occupant, Yazmin Maldonado, age 22 of Lorain, and an investigation was conducted.  Ms. Maldonado was arrested and charged with Physical Control of a Motor Vehicle, Obstructing Official Business, and Expired Plates.

On Saturday, February 23, 2008, at approximately 7:27pm, officers were dispatched to State Route 2 and North Lake Street in reference to a complaint of a driver passed out at the wheel.  Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver, Roger Diamond, age 48 of Amherst, and an investigation was conducted.  Mr. Diamond was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, and Rear Bumper Required.
