On Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 11:03pm, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a possible domestic dispute in progress. The clerk advised dispatch that they were receiving several complaints of a domestic dispute or some type of fight taking place. Prior to officer's arrival, dispatch learned the room was rented to a female who had a protection order protecting her from Perry Wells, age 29 of Lorain. Upon arrival, the officers made contact with both parties and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Wells was arrested and charged with Violation of a TPO, and Drug Abuse; Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Friday, February 6, 2009, at approximately 2:34am, an officer, while on patrol at the intersection of East Martin and North Main Street, observed a male staggering on the sidewalk and fall into the snow three times. The officer stopped to check on the male's welfare and conducted an investigation. The male, Daniel Engelhardt, age 22 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Friday, February 6, 2009, at 11:54am, officers were dispatched to Target, Oak Point Road, in reference to a shoplifter in custody. The suspect, Carlos Padin, age 52 of Lorain, attempted to steal numerous video games from the store. Mr. Padin was arrested and charged with Theft and Drug Abuse Instruments. | |

On Saturday, February 7, 2009, at 2:41pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Edgewood Drive in regards to a father that was being verbally threatened by his 15 year old son. Upon arrival, officers met with the father who stated the son left prior to police arrival. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was later located and charged with Unruly Child. | |

On Sunday, February 8, 2009, at approximately 12:41am, officers responded to the 47000 block of Middle Ridge Road, in regards to a vehicle that had run off of the roadway and was presently stuck in the grass. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the driver and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Janmichael Malinowski, age 23 of Wakeman, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Failure to Control, and Marked Lanes. | |

On Thursday, February 12, 2009, at approximately 3:57pm, an officer was dispatched to residence on Charles Avenue in regards to an unruly juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the mother who advised her 15 year old daughter was being unruly due to getting her cell phone taken away. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was charged with Unruly and Juvenile and Possession of Tobacco. | |

On Friday, February 13, 2009, at 4:38am, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, for a disturbing the peace complaint. Upon arrival, the officers approached the door and were able to hear a female and male being very loud and using abusive language. As they approached the door, the officers were able to see through the window and a male, Jason Flores, age 31 of Lorain, seated at the desk making lines of what appeared to be cocaine. The officers witnessed Mr. Flores snorting the suspected cocaine on two occasions. Contact was eventually made with Mr. Flores and the other occupants in the room and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Flores was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Tampering with Evidence, Drug Paraphernalia, and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 1:11am, an officer, while on patrol on Church Street in front of RC's Brewhouse, noticed a male, Jesse Russell, age 29 of Lorain, arguing with another male who was attempting to walk into the bar. Mr. Russell was stumbling around and was very unsteady on his feet, and was visibly intoxicated. Mr. Russell was also acting in a violent and turbulent manner attempting to entice a fight. The officer made contact with Mr. Russell and an investigation was conducted. Mr. Russell was charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Drug Abuse; Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 1:42am, an officer, while on patrol on Church Street in front of RC's Brewhouse, noticed a larger crowd of people by the front door with several males yelling back and forth using abusive language. It appeared that a fight was getting ready to ensue or one had just taken place. While parked in front of the bar, several bouncers advised several fights began to take place in the alley by the back door of the bar. Officers made their way through the crowd and an investigation was conducted. Miles Ferrero, age 24 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Resisting Arrest. William Ferrerro, age 22 of Lorain, was charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Saturday, February 14, 2009, at approximately 5:30pm, an officer was dispatched to Discount Drug Mart, North Leavitt Road, for a complaint that someone was attempting to get prescription medication illegally. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and Amy Daugherty, age 42 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Deception to Obtain a Dangerous Drug and Selling, Purchasing, Distributing, Deliver a Dangerous Drug. Further investigation and more charges are pending. | |

On Monday, February 16, 2009, at approximately 10:47pm, officers were dispatched to Denny's, North Leavitt Road, in reference to an unwanted male that would not leave. Upon arrival, officers located the male, Stanley Collins, age 48 of Lorain and conducted an investigation. Mr. Collins was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and Criminal Trespass. | |

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, officers were dispatched to Discount Drug Mart, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to employees who witnessed a male shoplift several items and then leave after being confronted. An investigation was conducted and the male’s identity was determined. A warrant was issued for Reno Thornton, age 54 of Lorain, for two counts of Petty Theft. The male later turned himself in. | |

On Wednesday, February 18, 2009, officers responded to the area of Cherry Valley Drive in reference to a solicitation complaint. Upon arrival, officers were unable to find the individuals that originated the call, but while searching the surrounding area, another male solicitor was found. Sean Quinlan age 19 of Sheffield Lake, was cited a citation for Solicitation without a Permit. |
