On Sunday, December 6, 2009, officers were dispatched to State Route 2 in regards to a single car roll over accident.  Upon arrival, officers observed the female driver standing on the side of the road leaning against a light pole and her vehicle resting on its roof on the side of the road.   An investigation was conducted and the female, Amy Smith, age 30 of New Jersey, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, No Driver’s License, "U" Turns Restricted, and Failure to Control.

On Friday, December 11, 2009, at approximately 12:54am, an officer, while on patrol near North Leavitt Road and Cooper Foster Park Road, observed two cars involved in an accident within the intersection.  The officer stopped and conducted an investigation.   The driver of one of the vehicles, Brigitte Fontaine, age 19 of Wellington, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Underage Consumption, and Possession of Drugs.  The passenger, Jennifer Lee, age 19 of Wellington, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption.

On Friday, December 11, 2009, at approximately 2:14am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed two males fighting in the alley next to Church Street.  The officer stopped and conducted an investigation.  The males, David Zadorozny, age 29 of Lorain, and Steven Soto, age 21 of Lorain, were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct Persisting.

On Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 12:58am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Old Oak Road in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint.    Upon arrival, the officers were able to hear loud music and voices coming from the garage of the residence.  The officers met with the homeowners and conducted an investigation.  Michael Haun, age 23 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace.

On Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 9:51pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Sands Avenue in regards to a domestic violence complaint.  The officers met with both parties involved and conducted an investigation.  George Santos, age 29 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence.
