On Monday, January 1, 2007, at approximately 10:55pm, officers were dispatched to Henry Street in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint involving an ATV. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to a male who stated he heard an ATV being driven up and down the street and could not sleep because of the disturbance. An investigation was conducted and Joshua Podlich, age 18 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disturbing the Peace and Prohibited Operation. | |

On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at approximately 5:48pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Lincoln Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Upon arrival, officers met with the male and female involved and learned that they were involved in an argument about their failing relationship. An investigation was conducted and due to conflicting stories and their refusal to sign charges against one another, a report was made for file. | |

On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at 8:00pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a criminal damaging to vehicle complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised while he was parked in the Amherst Public Library parking lot, his vehicle was egged by unknown subjects riding in a white Chevy Malibu. An investigation was conducted and the involved parties were located. The complainant did not wish to file charges due to it being determined the involved parties were friends of his. A report was made for file. | |

On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at approximately 11:24pm, officers were dispatched to McDonald's, North Leavitt Road in reference to an intoxicated female operating a vehicle while purchasing food at the drive thru line. Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle that matched the description given by the complainant. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Valerie Rosado, age 18 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Prohibition; Underage Consumption of Alcohol, OMUAC, and Possession of Marijuana. | |

On Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 2:09am, an officer, while on patrol on West Street, observed a vehicle weaving within its lane of travel and also travel left of center several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Timothy Haglund, age 19 of Amherst, exhibited signs of being intoxicated. Haglund was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated and Underage Consumption. | |

On Thursday, January 4, 2007, at approximately 6:50pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Brandt Avenue in reference to a missing juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the complaint who advised her 15 year old son was missing. She stated that they engaged in an argument earlier in the day sent him to his room. A short time later, she discovered him missing. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was later located and cited for Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Thursday, January 4, 2007, at approximately 8:45pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Utilities entrance, North Lake Street, in reference to a vehicle in the ditch. Upon arrival, the officer located an occupied vehicle stuck in the ditch and observed the vehicle had also struck the utilities complex fence and drove through the guide wires to the utility pole. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Angelique Rodriguez, age 37 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170% and Failure to Control. | |

On Friday, January 5, 2007, at approximately 2:16am, an officer, while on patrol on Park Avenue, observed a vehicle make several traffic violations and a traffic stop was conducted. An investigation was conducted and the passenger, Colleen Hume, age 20 of Amherst, was having trouble speaking, had red glassy eyes, and there was an odor of intoxicating an beverage coming from her person. Hume was arrested and charged with Underage Consumption. The driver of the vehicle was released with a verbal warning for the violations. | |

On Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 1:46am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Hazel Street in reference to a disturbance at the residence. Upon arrival, an investigation followed and Scott Heisler, age 20 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Disorderly Conduct Persisting. | |

On Saturday, January 6, 2007, at approximately 1:24am, officers were dispatched to the area of Cherry Valley Drive and Timberview Drive in reference to a suspicious vehicle with several suspicious males dressed all in dark clothing. The complainant advised that two of the males were walking down the sidewalk and then entered the vehicle and drove off. Officers checked the area and located the vehicle in question on North Woodhill Drive. A traffic stop effected and an investigation followed. The driver, Miguel Sanchez, age 20 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Driving under Suspension. The owner of the vehicle, Efrain Flecha, age 23 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Wrongful Entrustment. | |

On Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 11:06am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Rock Creek Run in reference to theft of items from a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised the an unknown person(s) entered his vehicle and stole several items. A report was made for file and the investigation turned over to the Detective Bureau. |
