On Sunday, December 28, 2008, at approximately 2:44am, an officer, while on patrol in the parking lot to the rear of Ziggy's, Park Avenue, observed two males carrying a large white in color cooler and staggering from left to right and nearly falling over while walking across the intersection at Church Street and Park Avenue. The officer stopped to talk to them and an investigation was conducted. Vincent Nickolette, age 25 of Amherst, and Francisco Caferro, age 25 of Westlake, were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 1:54am, an officer, while stopped at the intersection of Milan Avenue and South Main Street, noticed a disturbance in front of The Pour House, Park Avenue, and was being flagged down by a bar patron. As the officer pulled up to the bar, he noticed three males actively fighting and wrestling on the street in front of a vehicle. The males were separated and an investigation was conducted. The officer then went inside the bar to speak to the bar owner when a male, identified as Justin Krok, age 22 of Amherst, immediately began using abusive and vulgar language towards the officer. Mr. Krok refused the officers orders to step outside and was eventually taken into custody and charged with Disturbing the Peace, Obstructing Official Business, Assault, and Resisting Arrest. | |

On Friday, January 2, 2009, at approximately 6:33pm, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint. The victim advised she just had her purse stolen and she chased the male down and regained possession of her purse. She advised the male was now at Save-A-Lot. Officers checked the area and located the male, Ralph Russo, age 26 of Oberlin, who was positively identified by the victim and several witnesses. Mr. Russo was arrested and charged with Theft. | |

On Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 2:05pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Main Street in reference to a domestic violence complaint. The female complainant stated her son’s father, Charles Mandeville, age 28 of Lorain, threatened her and broke the glass door to her house. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Mandeville was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence. |
