On Sunday, December 17, 2006, at approximately 2:56am, officers were dispatched to Blue Sky Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to two males allegedly passed out in the back parking lot. An investigation was conducted and Travis Deleon, age 19 of Amherst, was issued a citation for underage consumption and Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication. | |

On Sunday, December 17, 2006, at 6:30pm, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of City Lot 3 in reference to an off-duty officer witnessing a female inside of a vehicle use drugs. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and Ashley Houk, age 22 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Drug Abuse and Drug Paraphernalia. | |

On Sunday, December 17, 2006, at approximately 7:35pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Charles Avenue in reference to an unwanted son of the homeowner at the house. The homeowner advised his son had been drinking and verbally arguing with his brother. In order to avoid further problems, he requested he be removed from the property. The male was transported from the residence and a report was made for file. | |

On Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at approximately 1:56am, an officer, while on patrol, observed a vehicle drive onto the curb and up into the grass located at the corner of Church Street and Tenney Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation followed. The driver, Nicole German, age 28 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, and Weaving Course/ Reckless Operation. | |

On Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at approximately 5:18pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Sleepy Hollow Drive in reference to a complaint of a juvenile being struck by an air soft pellet while walking home from school. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the juvenile who advised a dark colored SUV, occupied by a several people, drove past him and a high school aged male leaned out the window and shot him in the leg with an air soft gun. The vehicle left the area and a license plate was not able to be obtained. A report was made for file. | |

On Thursday, December 21, 2006, at approximately 4:18am, officers were dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Dr., in reference to a male shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with employees who stated they apprehended a male, later identified as Jeffery Drogell, age 47 of Medina, for taking meat without paying. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Drogell was arrested and charged with Theft. | |

On Thursday, December 21, 2006, at approximately 6:30pm, officers were dispatched to the area of State Route 58 and Kresge Drive in reference to a possible intoxicated driver. An off-duty officer was following the vehicle that was traveling through red lights and unable to keep the vehicle in its lane of travel almost striking other vehicles. Officers arrived on scene and an investigation followed. The driver, Thomasene Rock, age 64 of Amherst, was found to be intoxicated. Ms. Rock was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, and Driving Marked Lanes. | |

On Friday, December 22, 2006, at 6:43am, officers were dispatched to Dairy Mart, Cleveland Avenue, in reference to an assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who advised that he was assaulted at a residence on Hazel Street by his fiancee and her son. The complainant appeared intoxicated as an odor of intoxicating beverage was present on or about his person. Officers spoke to all parties involved and an investigation was conducted. None of the parties requested charges and officers were unable to determine the aggressor due to the lack of cooperation from the parties and their differing stories. A report was made for file. | |

On Friday, December 22, 2006, at approximately 2:58pm, officers were dispatched to the Old Central School, Church Street, in reference to a complaint that six juveniles were trying to enter the building by breaking the glass to some of the windows. Upon arrival, officers located six juveniles near the building. At the time, they did not appear to be trying to gain entry to the building. An investigation was conducted and it was learned that entry had not been gained. Two juveniles were issued citations for Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass. The other four were issued citations Criminal Trespass. | |

On Friday, December 22, 2006, at approximately 4:40pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Henry Street in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the homeowner who advised two bicycles were stolen off his back porch. A report was taken for file and an investigation is pending. | |

On Friday, December 22, 2006, officers were dispatched to Jonathon Street regarding complaints of a female and her two infant children soliciting money. Upon arrival, officers located the female and her children and an investigation was conducted. It was learned that the female was going door to door asking people for help because she had no money and she was running of formula and diapers. Officers transported the female and her children to the Amherst Police Station where the on-duty officers and dispatcher provided them with dinner and took up a collection of money to give to the female. Diapers were also brought in by an officer’s wife and toys were donated by the dispatcher. Contact was made with the Blessing House for further assistance. A representative arrived and took custody of the family. | |

On Friday, December 22, 2006, at approximately 11:09pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Charles Avenue in reference to a theft of bicycle complaint. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and it was learned the bike was stolen from the front yard of a friend’s house. The bike is described as a yellow in color Gary Fisher Mountain Bike, with a new Trek gel seat, handle bars, rear tire and rim. A report was taken for file and an investigation is pending. | |

On Saturday, December 23, 2006, at approximately 1:06am officers were dispatched to Ziggy's Bar, Park Avenue, in reference to a fight in progress between several subjects. Upon arrival, officers spoke to several individuals and learned that someone in the bar threw a beer bottle at a male and a fight began. Officers were unable to locate the other male involved and no one at the bar was able to identify him. A report was made for file at this time. | |

On Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 4:45am, an officer was dispatched to a residence on South Leavitt Road in reference to a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, the officer heard two large dogs barking in the rear of the residence. It was learned that the homeowner, Gordon Zell, age of 53 of Amherst, had received numerous warnings from the Amherst Police Department in the past for barking/howling dogs. Zell was cited for Barking/Howling Dogs. | |

On Saturday, December 23, 2006, at 7:22pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Lincoln Street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who advised that she had discovered that money belonging to her elderly mother had been taken from the house. She stated she believes she knows who did it, but has no proof. She would like a report made in case of future problems. A report was made for file. |
