On Sunday, December 16, 2007, at approximately 9:20pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Jackson Street in reference to a domestic disturbance where the female on scene was out of control.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and Amanda Brynak, age 25 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Burglary, two counts of Assault,  Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Disorderly Conduct.

On Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at approximately 10:30am, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft compliant.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the suspect, Jacob Jeffers, age 28 of Tennessee, was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Wednesday, December 19, 2007, officers were dispatched to the downtown area in reference to a male stumbling in the middle of the roadway and possibly attempting to drive a vehicle.  Officers located the male, Ozro Wilsey, age 37 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Walking in Streets Intoxicated, and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Saturday, December 22, 2007, at approximately 2:23am, an officer, while on patrol in the downtown area, observed an intoxicated male walking in the area and then enter a vehicle and drive away in a reckless manner.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Chadd Martin, age 26 of Vermilion,  was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, and Reckless Operation.

On Thursday, December 27, 2007, at approximately 2:58am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Park Avenue and Church Street, observed a male walking on the sidewalk.  He appeared extremely unsteady on his feet, and stumbled sideways into one of the store fronts.  The officer approached the male and an investigation was conducted.   The male, Paul Findley, age 26 of Amherst was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and transported to the Amherst Hospital.

On Saturday, December 29, 2007, at approximately 11:55pm, an officer, while on patrol at  Drug Mart, North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle parked behind Spitzer Auto with it's hood was up and the headlights on.  Contact was made with the occupants and an investigation was conducted. The juvenile male occupant was issued a citation for Drug Abuse and Possession of Tobacco.  A juvenile female occupant was issued a citation for Underage Consumption and Drug Abuse.  Another juvenile female occupant was issued a citation for Possession of Tobacco, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.
