On Sunday, August 15, 2009, at approximately 2:10am, an officer performed a random registration check using LEADS on a vehicle traveling northbound on North Main Street. The officer observed the vehicle weaving from side to side within its northbound lane of travel. Dispatch advised the listed owner of the vehicle, Beth Serfozo, age 39 of Lorain, had a suspended driver's license. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. Ms. Serfozo was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, State Refusal, Open Container, and Weaving. | |

On Sunday, August 15, 2009, at approximately 2:31am, an officer, while on patrol on Tenney Avenue and Church Street, observed a male subject laying face down in the tree lawn of a residence on Tenney Avenue. The officer observed that the male had his pants down around his ankles exposing his boxer shorts. The male was not moving. The officer approached the male and conducted an investigation. The male, Ricardo Hernandez, age 26 of Amherst, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct; Intoxication. | |

On Sunday, August 15, 2009, at approximately 3:12am, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the nightshift manager who advised that a black male entered the store and took merchandise without paying. The male, later identified as Jason James, age 38 of Lorain, was gone upon the officer’s arrival. A warrant was issued for Mr. James. On August 25, 2009, Mr. James turned himself in at the Amherst Police Department. He was arrested and charged with Theft. | |

On Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at approximately 11:00pm, an officer received a call from an off duty officer who advised of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Amherst Eagle's, Milan Avenue. Upon arrival, the officer approached the vehicle and observed a male, Hershel Randolph, age 48 of Amherst, passed out in the driver’s seat. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Randolph was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, and Open Container. | |

On Friday, August 21, 2009, at approximately 1:45am, officers were dispatched to RC's Brewhouse, Park Avenue, in reference to a male who called 911 and advised someone was trying to start a fight with him. The male in question would not leave his name and then hung up. Upon arrival to the area, the officer noticed several males running out of RC's Brewhouse, and a large crowd was forming outside of the bar. While standing outside of the bar speaking with a bar patron, the officer heard a female yelling obscenities towards the officers from the fenced in patio. The female was located and an investigation was conducted. Adrianna Hickman, age 21 of Oberlin, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication and Disturbing the Peace. | |

On Saturday, August, 22, 2009, at 1:19am, an officer, while on patrol on Tenney Avenue, noticed a male lying on his back, not moving, on the sidewalk near the south entrance door to Church Street Bar. The officer approached the male, William Mechling, age 31 of Sullivan, and conducted an investigation. Mr. Mechling had a very strong odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from on or about his person and was stumbling and unable to keep his balance when he stood up. Mr. Mechling was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, August, 22, 2009, at approximately 2:03am, an officer, while on patrol on Church Street and Park Avenue, observed a male stumbling and acting disorderly. The male, Michael Mutich, age 27 of Lorain, began using profane language towards the officer in an enraged manner. An investigation was conducted and the Mr. Mutich was issused a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, August, 22, 2009, at approximately 2:19am, officers were dispatched to The Pour House, Park Avenue, in reference to an intoxicated patron causing problems and refusing to leave. Upon arrival, an investigation followed and the male, Michael Frey, age 26 of Lorain, was found to be intoxicated and acting in a violent manner inside the establishment after being asked to leave multiple times by the owner. Mr. Frey arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, August, 22, 2009, at approximately 11:00pm, an officer, while on patrol in the parking lot of Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, observed a suspicious vehicle that was occupied. The officer approached the vehicle and conducted an investigation. The driver, George Vargo, age 33 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Open Container. The passenger, Allison Kenzik, age 19 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Underage Consumption and Open Container. |
