On Sunday, April 6, 2008, at approximately 1:40am, officers were dispatched to The Big Ease, Park Avenue, in reference to a possible fight in progress.  Upon arrival, an officer observed a male being pushed out of the front door of The Big Ease by another male. The males, later identified as Timothy McKinney, age 23 of Vermilion, and Dustin Redmond, age 26 of Wakeman, were separated and an investigation was conducted.  During the investigation, a female, identified as Jennifer Merrell, age 34 of Amherst, attempted to hinder the investigation and had to be physically moved aside.   All three parties were issued citations for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Sunday, April 6, 2008, at approximately 2:57am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle weaving from one side of the roadway to the other after leaving City Lot 1.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, David Zadorozny, age 28 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Reckless Operation, and Marked Lanes.

On Sunday, April 6, 2008, at 3:34am, officers were dispatched to Motel 6, North Leavitt Road, in reference to a noise disturbance in one of the rooms.  Upon arrival, the officers observed two females in a doorway engaged in a struggle and being pushed out of the motel room.  The officers approached the room and an investigation was conducted.  Brandon Thomas, age 21 of Columbus, was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Assault.  A juvenile female and juvenile male were issued citations for curfew and released to their parents.  Another juvenile male became combative with officers and was arrested and charged with Curfew, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Possession of Marijuana, Obstructing Official Business, and Resisting Arrest and transported to the Detention Home.

On Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 11:48pm, an officer, while on patrol in the area of North Main Street and Cooper Foster Park Road, observed a vehicle stopped at a green light for several seconds and then make an abrupt turn at a rate of speed and without signaling which caused the vehicle's tires to squeal.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Jeffrey Wheatley, age 18 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, Underage Consumption, Open Container, Squealing Tires, and Signal before Changing Course.

On Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 2:12am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of West Martin Avenue and North Main Street, observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Jerico Guerrero, age 27 of Florida, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Reckless Operation, and Signal before Changing Course.

On Thursday, April 10, 2008, at approximately 11:00pm, an officer, while on patrol downtown near 5 Points, observed a vehicle cross over the double yellow line to the left side of the vehicle several times and weave from side to side within its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Tonya Lanham, age 33 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes.

On Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 11:06pm, an officer, while on patrol near Middle Ridge Road and Pyle South Amherst Road, observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at the posted stop sign and weave from side to side within its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Jonathan Panter, age 25 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes.

On Friday, April 11, 2008, at approximately 2:13am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, observed a vehicle leave City Lot 1 traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving from the center of the roadway, to the right side of the roadway, and then back to the left side of the roadway.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Matthew McGuire, age 26 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Weaving, and Stop Sign.

On Friday, April 11, 2008, at 2:19am, an officer, while on patrol on Cleveland Avenue near North Leavitt Road, observed a vehicle weave within it's lane of travel and cross over the center line.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Bambi Hobart, age 33 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, and Marked Lanes.

On Saturday, April 12, 2008, at approximately 11:58pm, an officer, while on patrol on South Main Street near Tenney Avenue, observed a vehicle make an extremely wide turn causing it to travel into the parking spaces on the west side of the road, and nearly strike the metal supports to the train track bridge. The vehicle also crossed over the white solid line to the right side of the vehicle several times.   A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.   The driver, Gregory Bodenski, age 38 of Sheffield Village, was arrested and charged with Felony Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated (7th), State Refusal, Reckless Operation, Unsafe Vehicle, and Marked Lanes.
