On Sunday, April 29, 2007, at 2:29am, an officer, while on patrol downtown, was flagged down by a male near Park Lanes Bowling Alley stating an unknown male entered his vehicle while he was in the driver's seat and proceeded to sit in the passenger seat. An investigation was conducted and Joseph Stefek, age 27 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, and Vehicle Trespass. | |

On Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 6:10pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a belated assault complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the complainant who advised she and her husband were at a homeowners meeting at Beaver Creek Metro Park, North Lake Street, and the discussion escalated and an irate male pushed her. An investigation was conducted and a report was made for file. The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges at this time. | |

On Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 4:58pm, officers were dispatched to the area of North Ridge Road and Oberlin Avenue in reference to an unruly juvenile. An investigation was conducted and it was learned that the juvenile got into an argument with his parents and left the residence. Officers located the juvenile and returned him home. The juvenile was issued a citation for Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Friday, May 4, 2007, at approximately 2:37am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Tenney Avenue and James Street, observed a vehicle make a very wide turn into the oncoming lane of travel and cross over the center line of the roadway several times. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Melissa Hall, age 39 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes. | |

On Friday, May 4, 2007, at approximately 5:12pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Church Street in reference to a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, the officers spoke to the complainant who stated he was told someone had entered the residence and took several items. An investigation was conducted and two juveniles were charged with Burglary. | |

On Friday, May 4, 2007, at approximately 7:37pm, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to the complainant who stated her grandson is not listening to anything she says. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was charged with Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, at approximately 1:45am, an officer, while on patrol on Park Avenue, observed a vehicle cut into the parking spaces on Park Avenue, almost struck the stop sign posted at the intersection, and weaving within its lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Aaron Estep, age 26 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Driving under Suspension, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Disorderly Conduct Intoxication, No Seat Belt, Turning at Intersections, State Refusal, and Weaving. | |

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 2:11am, an officer, while on patrol on the corner of Park Avenue and Church Street, observed two males who appeared unsteady on their feet and exhibited signs of being intoxicated. One of the males, Joseph Sullivan, age 25 of Lorain, began yelling vulgar and derogatory remarks toward the officer. Mr. Sullivan was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. | |

On Saturday, May 5, 2007, at 3:11am, officers were dispatched to Denny's Restaurant, North Leavitt Road, in reference to several intoxicated partied refusing to leave. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and Toby Matheney, age 23 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. |
