On Sunday, April 27, 2008, at approximately 6:54pm, an officer was dispatched to Target Store, Oak Point Road, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised she had been investigating one of the store associates for a while for stealing from the store.  She advised she confronted this employee with the evidence of her investigation and the employee admitted to committing theft.   An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was charged with Unruly Juvenile and Theft.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 1:19am, an officer, while on patrol on Tenney Avenue, noticed a vehicle exit City Parking Lot #3 at a high rate of speed without coming to a stop before entering the roadway and crossing the sidewalk.  The vehicle's trunk was also open and bouncing up and down.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, Michael Queen, age 31 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Signals before Changing Course, and Entering onto Roadway from a Place other than Roadway.

On Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 10:01pm, an officer was dispatched to State Route 2 eastbound near Oak Point Road in reference to a possible intoxicated driver.  A motorist advised dispatch that a vehicle was weaving all over the road and left the roadway on one occasion almost striking the guardrail and another vehicle.  Upon arrival into the area, the officer located the vehicle in question and initiated a traffic stop.  An investigation was conducted and the drive, Judy Damron, age 59 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated,  BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Marked Lanes.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at approximately 6:00pm, an officer was dispatched to LorMet Community Credit Union, Cooper Foster Park Road, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met the operations manager who advised an employee had admitted to stealing money from the teller drawer.  An investigation was conducted and Amanda Mayer, age 20 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Theft.

On Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at approximately 6:08pm, an officer was dispatched to Giant Eagle,  Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint.   Upon arrival, the officer met with the loss prevention officer who advised he apprehended a shoplifter. An investigation was conducted and the male, Karl Linder, age 61 of Lorain was arrested and charged with Petty Theft.

On Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 11:48pm, an officer, while on patrol in the area West Martin Avenue and North Lake Street, observed a vehicle pause briefly at the stop sign and flashing lights and continued through the without making a complete stop.  The vehicle then traveled in the middle of the roadway until swerving back into the proper lane.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted.  The driver, Jessica Paige, age 48 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Marked Lanes, Weaving, Stop Sign, Open Container, and Consumption in Motor Vehicle.

On Saturday, May 3, 2008, at approximately 2:27am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Tenney Avenue in reference to an assault complaint.  Upon arrival, officers met with the female complainant who advised her boyfriend assaulted her by punching her in the nose.  Officers observed the female’s nose to be swollen and her eyes turning black and blue.  There was also a large amount of blood on the female’s neck and hair.  An investigation was conducted and a warrant was issued for the suspect, Joseph Martin, age 40 of Amherst.  Mr. Martin was located the next day and arrested for Felonious Assault.

On Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 11:50am, officers were dispatched to a residence on Harris Street in reference to a report of subjects using drugs on the second floor balcony.  Upon arrival, the officers located three subjects and an investigation was conducted. Clayton Scarvelli, age 24 of Lorain, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana.  Kayla Roman and Steven Zsigray, both age 18 of Lorain, were issued citations for Drug Paraphernalia.

On Saturday May 3, 3008, at approximately 9:30pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on Sleepy Hollow Drive, in reference to a disturbing the peace complaint where a number of juveniles were being loud, multiple cars coming and going from the residence.  Upon arrival, the officers observed a number of juveniles rapidly exiting the residence in a number of different directions.  Several juveniles were apprehended and an investigation was conducted.  It was learned that the homeowners had gone on vacation and 17 year old son had a party.  The juvenile was charged with six counts of Sales to Underage Persons, six counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Unruly Juvenile and Disturbing the Peace.  Two other 17 year old males were charged with Unruly Juvenile and Underage Consumption.  A 15 year old male and a 17 year old male were charged with Underage Consumption, Disturbing the Peace, Criminal Trespass, Unruly Juvenile, Obstructing Official Business and Disorderly Conduct.  A 15 year old male was charged with Underage Consumption, Obstructing Official Business, and Unruly Juvenile and a 16 year old female was charged with Underage Consumption.
