On Sunday, April 19, 2009, at approximately 1:41 am, an officer was on foot patrol in the downtown area at the intersection of Church St. and Tenney Ave. At that time, the officer observed two males riding with no lights as required by law. The officer stopped the males and conducted an investigation. Steven Rogers, age 19 of Amherst, and Michael Sumpter, age 20 of Amherst were issued citations for Underage Consumption. | |

On Monday, April 20, 2009, an officer was dispatched to the Amherst Police Department in reference to a missing male juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the parents who advised the juvenile had left home on Saturday and was found this morning sleeping in bed. They said he left for school this morning and hasn't been seen since. The juvenile was located the next day and a citation was issued for Unruly Child. | |

On Friday, April 24, 2009, at approximately 12:15am, an officer was dispatched to the Pour House, Park Avenue, for a loud music complaint. The complainant reported that the live band at the bar was again causing a noise disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer parked approximately fifty feet away from the business and could clearly hear very loud music coming from the rear open door of the business. After observing the violaton, the officer met with the bar manager, John Kolcun, of Amherst, and explained to him the complaint. Mr. Kolcun was issued a citation for Unnecessary Noise. | |

On Friday, April 24, 2009, at approximately 1:28am, an officer, while on patrol on South Main Street near Copper Creek, observed a vehicle weaving from side to side within its southbound lane of travel. The vehicle also crossed over the white line to the right side of the vehicle several times. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. The driver, Jamie Slack, age 25 of South Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Weaving, and Marked lanes. | |

On Friday, April 24, 2009, at approximately 2:37pm, officers were dispatched to a residence on East Martin Avenue in regarding to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, the officers met with the complainant who advised his grandson, Christopher Krieg, age 18 of Amherst, was trespassing on his property. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Krieg was later arrested for Trespassing. | |

On Saturday, April 25, 2009, at approximately 2:14am, an officer, while on patrol in the area of Church Street and Cleveland Avenue, observed a vehicle stop briefly for the red light and then proceeded to make an illegal right turn at the red light. The vehicle was also weaving from side to side within its eastbound lane of travel and crossed over the double yellow line to the left of the vehicle and veered toward the curb to the right side of the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. Buffy Biancardi, age 41 of Elyria, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, Red Light, Weaving, and Marked Lanes. |
