On Sunday, April 18, 2010, at approximately 1:53am, an officer responded to Giant Eagle, Kresge Drive, in reference to a theft complaint.  Upon arrival, an investigation followed and the male was identified.  The male was later located at a Lorain residence along with his female accomplice.  The male, Darryl Cannon, age 44, was arrested for Two Counts of Theft, Criminal Tools, DUS, and Obstructing Official Business.  The female, Belinda Thomas, age 47, was arrested for Complicity to Theft.

On Sunday, April 18, 2010, at 1:11pm, an officer was dispatched to Denny's Restaurant, N. Leavitt Rd., regarding a male who was unable to pay for his meal.  After further investigation and a warning not to come back to the restaurant, which he later did, the male, Anthony Razzano, age 59 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Trespass.

On Monday, April 19, 2010, at approximately 7:43pm, an officer observed a red older pickup truck enter the parking lot of Giant Eagle and park on the east side of the lot.  The male driver sat in the vehicle for several minutes, looking over his shoulder toward the front of the store.  The male suspect, later identified as Luis Sierra, age 24 of Lorain, was observed loading two shopping carts full of mulch and loading them into his vehicle without paying for them. A traffic stop was made and Mr. Sierra was placed under arrest. He was arrested and charged with Theft, and Driving under Suspension.

On Friday, April 23, 2010, officers responded to Days Inn, N. Leavitt Road, in reference to a female who had entered the lobby with her dog and was screaming.  While en route, officers were advised the female had been held against her will and assaulted by her boyfriend in one of the motel rooms.  The female was interviewed and a warrant was issued for her boyfriend, Jesse Whitlock, age 32 of Vermilion.  Whitlock was later located and charged with Kidnapping, Felonious Assault, and Domestic Violence.
