April 13, 2008 through April 19, 2008

On Sunday, April 13, 2008, at approximately 2:09am, officers, while on patrol in the downtown area, heard yelling coming from a crowd near the corner of Church Street and Park Avenue.  After a further investigation, the officers located a female, Savannah Karnow, age 23 of Vermilion, who was found to be intoxicated and cursing at several others in the area.  Ms. Karnow was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.

On Thursday, April 17, 2008, at approximately 4:49am, officers were dispatched to of North Leavitt Road and North Ridge Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident where one of vehicle was leaving the scene.  Upon arrival, the officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.  An investigation was conducted and the driver, Mark A Dalton II, age 22 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08%, Stopping after an Accident, Driving under Suspension, One Way Street, and Assured Cleared Distance.

On Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 11:46pm, an officer, while on patrol at the intersection of Park Avenue and Church Street, noticed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.  The driver, David Yoder, age 31 of Vermilion, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Stop Sign, and Reckless Operation.

On Friday, April 18, 2008, at approximately 4:42pm, an officer was dispatched to a residence on Axtel Street in reference to an unruly Juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised her 13 year old son was out of control and destroying things in the house and yard.  An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was cited for Unruly Juvenile.

On Saturday, April 19, 2008, at approximately 12:42am, an officer, while on patrol on Park Avenue near Hume Hill, observed vehicle traveling in the middle of the road and then weave from side to side.  A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted.   The driver, Felix Carrion, age 44 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Weaving Course, and Marked Lanes.
